Who's Got Your Back?

Whenever I hear a quote, my first instinct is to find out who the author of the quote is, and the context in which the words were said. Then, I try to picture a similar context in my life to see if it is indeed applicable.

Quotes like;

• The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.
• Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eyes.
• The older I get, the more I understand that it's okay to live a life others don't understand.

These are deep, deep words. Wonder if you can relate with any or all?

My personal favorite quote of all time however, was uttered by St. Augustine who said;

“Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, the huge waves of the sea, the long course of rivers, the vast compass of the ocean, the circular motion of the stars, but they pass by THEMSELVES and they don’t even notice”.

Those are some pretty powerful words.

The reason why I'm writing this blog however, is because of a question I came across earlier today while researching on ideas for my next article. It was a rather simple question but it's been on my mind since I read it.

"Who's Got Your Back?"

I had to do a quick introspection on myself, as I thought this through. It didn't take me too long to realize that...I've got my back!

I realized that ever since the turn of the year, I've been encoraging myself, pushing myself, believing that I can do this, believing that I can be successful. I realized that it was this self-conviction that has started opening up certain doors I never knew existed before.

Becoming a part of WA was one of those doors.

I don't know your story or what you've been through. If you've got someone pushing you on, that's great. Keep that angel!

But for others, we're all we got...and we push until we prevail!
