Using my Own Advice to Succeed Here at Wealthy Affiliate-Progress and Change

BECOMING A WEALTHY AFFILIATE...AFFILIATE

I've lost track of time. How long have I been here? How many days has this been going on? Or has it been weeks? Already that long?

I don't really know.

Sure I could probably figure out the answer with a little searching, but for the last few days or weeks I have been living in a whirlwind of learning, writing, searching for 'low hanging fruit' and trying to make my new website look presentable.

My name is Chris, and about 4 years ago I inquired about the Wealty Affiliate program. Some nice guy, username nathaniell, was my point of contact and got me started. I proceeded to sign up, probably for a free program, just to gain some insight and then I did...

NOTHING

Well, at least nothing with WA. I did continue to write for Hubpages, I did continue to write and promote my blog, and I did see a very small amount of regular cash come in from affiliate sales and in fact, Hubpages.

But the money just didn't justify the work, and with no real guidance or support, I didn't have the confidence to make any moves to improve the situation. Eventually I got tired of the diminishing returns and gave up.

GETTING BACK TO AFFILIATE MARKETING WITH WA

I'm not going to fill you in on the ~4 years since then, but the need for me to become successful at affiliate marketing has beomce a high priority.

There's the need for:

-A second income

-The need to finally master something in life, instead of just dabbling-and reap the rewards

-There's the personal need to feel that I'm living to my full potential

There is also a love of writing that I've rediscovered by diving back into the deep end of the pool, so to speak.

Ok, so here I am. What have I got going on here at Wealthy Affiliate? How do I like it so far? So tell me, does having this program make it easier to become an affilate marketer? I'm just dyin' to hear, ohmygawshh.

THANK GOD FOR THE WA SYSTEM

I could subtitle this with 'why the hell didn't I dive in like this before?' But that is a whole other discussion.

Let me just say that having someone walk you through everything, step-by-step, in an efficient order, is worth the price of admission alone.

However, the resources you have access to, the community you have access to, and the expert tutorials and website building system make it so easy to do this that your only excuse is not doing it. Not putting in the effort.

In fact, I'm guessing I just nailed their mission statement. "Make it so easy to create a successful network of affiliate marketing websites that the only excuse for failure is not doing the work."

PROGRESS

The fact that I'm writing this means I've reached that lesson that begins with the "Benefits of Being an Ambassador." One of the tasks on that section is to create a blog post such as this.

It's another thing I didn't really want to do in these lessons, but which I'm glad I did. One of the main things that kept me from succeeding in the long run before WA was the lack of support or a clear structure to follow.

Although my previous experience has made the training a breeze so far, I feel like the lessons have been very well laid out, and as I said, the support is fantastic. The community is very supportive and quick to answer questions.

So if you'll excuse me, it's time for me to back to work. I've got a lot of time to make up for.

On a final note, if you're on the fence about whether this stuff works or not, or whether you are going to be able to do it, realize that it does and you can.

As one motivational speaker said, "nobody is smarter than you, and nobody is better than you." You have just as much intelligence and potential as everybody else, the difference is in getting out there and finding what you want, then executing on it-EVERY. DAY.
