Adding affiliate links from Amazon Affiliate Program
They provide you with links, once you sign up normally.
Use pretty link plugin to make it look cloaked, it is a part of the Bootcamp training in lesson 2.
I didn't refer to Amazon,
he wants to know how it for other companies is, at least that is his question.
If someone wants to know for Amazon, I expect the person writes that in his question.
Anyway, he needs to check that with each and every company then before using Pretty link.
That is the description and can also mean that is what he is currently doing and that is what I understood.
The question is:
How do I insert an affiliate link from another company?

Adding affiliate links from Amazon Affiliate Program
I did some research on this topic concerning link shortener and Amazon policies and found following solutions:
1) according to the link shorter company Genius it is that Amazon wants to know where the referrer is coming from:
"Fortunately, if you use Geniuslink, we’ll always ensure that any referrer information is passed on to Amazon, so you won’t ever be cloaking or hiding the referral domain"
According to Geniuslink, it applies also for Pretty Link and other short link providers as long this information is included.
2) It is of upmost importance anyone following your links knows to be taken away from your website to the Amazon storefront!
If this information is missing in your shortlink you get punished.
3) ensure that you’re completely honest with your audience!
The main reason Amazon is really precise on this, is for the many scammers out there who misuse shortlinks to scam people...
It is important you read and study to know what is expected to be in the link.
So just saying not to use it is the easy way out, thinking out of the box means you do your research and find alternatives or you look it up yourself why this is, yes that will take time and is not always available around the corner, sometimes you need to analyze and try out things to see if it can bring you the solution, but this is the way of learning and growing and pay it forward.
I suggest you go and lookup that article i found at Genius link shortener website and read it through yourself as it contains much more information as I wrote here, I just gave you an overview that shortlinks are possible if you know what you are doing... :)
Here is your start, I will see over time if Amazon can be an asset for my project(s), for now I am not using this service, however your a bit "vague" question what you are looking for and the opposite meaning of SteveMand made me curious to look what is todays status in 2018 concerning making affiliate links to Amazon.
Let me know how it goes, let this started research not be in vain.
Thank You
Stefan :)
