Just Over One Month With WA!
I joined WA back in early June, and am excited about where I am at today. I've been working through the training, and am currently working on Level 2, Lesson 10 of 10. So at this point I have a website at encoders101.com with several posts that I have written.
It has been fun learning how to find good keyword phrases using Jaaxy, and then writing content around them. Then learning how to add images and video into the content to make it more interesting has been a confidence boosting experience as well.
The niche I have chosen is based on what I did as a career before retiring. My education is in the field of electrical engineering. I worked for many years as an applications engineer with a company that manufactures optical incremental and absolute encoders. For those of you that don't know what those are, you can go to encoders101.com to find out.
Encoders are sensors that are used to give motion feedback to a computer or controller of some type. Think of a robot. The robot has a computer brain that can send out commands to a stepper motor to make the robots' arm move to a new position. The encoder is the sensor out on the robots' arm joint that tells the robots' computer brain that the arm did move to the new position it was commanded to.
So my niche is encoders and things associated with them such as digital displays, and other motion control products.
Just getting to this point in the WA training and having my own website represents a big step towards success in my mind. I've already made some new friends at WA and have received one-on-one help from Kyle, ericcantu, and others along the way. I am excited about moving into Level 3 training soon.
With Level 3 training, I am anticipating the first sign of revenue generation to happen. My plans and goals in the next three months would be to complete Level 3 training, and get my website producing some income of even just a few hundred dollars per month on a regular basis.
Looking ahead six months from now, I hope to have a second website up and going in a new niche area that is less technical in nature, and more about something I enjoy doing for fun or recreation.
I'm very much enjoying the journey. I'm blessed to have been able to take early retirement, and to have lots of time to devote to this WA endeavor.
I would enjoy hearing what any of you have to say about my journey so far, and how it compares with yours. For those of you that have been with WA longer than me, it would be fun to hear where you were at after your first month, and what you were thinking at the time. Has what happened to you after that first month with WA exceeded your expectations?
By the way, the photo is of me and my one and only grandchild. Ophelia was almost four years old at the time the photo was taken.

Thanks David. Looks like you have climbed fairly high in the ranking, and so you have probably belonged to WA for more than just a few months. How long have you been a member, and is it meeting or exceeding your expectations? I would enjoy checking out your website(s) if you can send me a link.

Glad you are enjoying it so much. I have no doubt you will "own" your first niche, plus you will learn what you need to know to make your second site much easier to build.
Thank you Jeannine. I have a sister with your name. She spells it Jennene. Wow! Looks like you are in the top 100 ranking. So how long have you belonged to WA, and has it met or exceeded your expectations?
Yup, Top 100 for a while now. I've been active since last summer. I'm pleased with how WA does stuff. My reason for being here is a bit different than most - I work for an affiliate network, Awin.com, and try to help publishers with any questions about working with networks. We also own ShareASale.com.
