Decide On Your Niche - Really!

One of the things I love about my training here at WA is the lack of pressure and oppression that often comes from trainers. You see, early in our training we are greatly informed and encouraged to focus on one niche and to dig as deep as possible so as to focus. Well, I've been quite a maverick where this has been concerned because I really do enjoy so many things. However, the other day I was enjoying painting away on an abstract piece of art in preparation for a fabric design, when it dawned on me that this really is my niche. Not just art, but abstract art. Not just crafts but design - which is quite different.
Granted, I did somehow manage to tweak three niches and combine them into kind of one, and sort of get away with it but I realise that this isn't clever and not the way to do things, and I've been quite naughty in attempting it. So, I've decided to focus on art and design. My website will then make much more sense and will be a lot easier to write content. I'm not sure if there is money in this niche though. Probably not much. However, it's at the very least a platform for growth. I do aim to create at least three more websites in the future to accommodate my other interests, and It's unrealistic to expect to make a substantial income from one niche.
Now, newbies, PLEASE don't do what I did. Really and truly stick to the training.
Now I know, those of you that have read my posts in the past will think - 'here she goes again'! But really, I know now what my niche really is, and I'm the happier for it!
