Unfreezing WA
A whole day and a half on my WA trial wasted!
I've really been frustrated - here's why.
I couldn't navigate in WA.
With a new MacBook and a good residential cable broadband, I've been very happy. No other sites are giving me a problem.
But WA continually hung and froze in strange ways.
Okay, if other people were complaining, if I could even get out to the forums to see whether there were some issues, that would be the next thing to do. But I couldn't move!
Everybody seemed to be posting, commenting and navigating just fine, except me. As I kept using up my (personal) time blocks attempting to interact, my screens went from very-slow to frozen to blank.
Finally I guess the blank screen got through to me. Time to clear cookies and history... some "prima donna websites" seem very sensitive to cookies on one's browser. These sites typically include a real heavy database type structure.
So I had to "blow my cookies". (Clear history/cookies on FireFox). This is always an inconvenience because I now must go back and manually fix some things on my site.
But WA works again. Now I can get a more accurate assessment of its speed.

Glad you were able to id the problems and get back to work. Have been thinking about switching to a Mac, but not to sure if I want to learn new tricks. Anyway, glad all is well.
