Comments woes

I'm hoping someone can help me in a hurry. Hubby and I are leaving for Ecuador on Wed at 6 am and I can't get the comment section on my webpage to work! We're planning to blog and build our website as we travel for a month through Ecuador. It will be a great way to build a following and traffic.

Hi Janice, can you give us some more info, ie the theme you are using and exactly what happens or doesn't happen with regard to the comments. Are you referring to your comment area on your website or when people are leaving a comment. Please provide as much information as possible.

The theme is cleanr. There is no box at the bottom of the screen, of any of the pages for people to leave a comment.
You have your comments turned off as when I preview my site with that theme all my comments show up.
Not an expert in this field by any stroke of the imagination but would suggestion would be to go to 'Appearance' then 'widgets'. You should then see a list of widgets to the left and your Main Sidebar and Sidebar Pages list of widgets to the right. Check that you have 'Recent Comments' in both lists.
If not, then simply click on the 'Recent Comments' in the list on the left and opt for 'Main Sidebar'then 'Add Widget' and do the same for 'Sidebar Pages' and Save.
