What's a lead magnet?
A lead magnet is anything you can offer a prospect in exchange for their email address.
A lead magnet should be something of VALUE to the prospect and should DELIVER on the promise it says it will
When it comes to lead magnets, it can be a 2-page document on how to solve an existing problem that your audience faces.
How do you know what problems to tackle in your lead magnet?
Put on your consumer thinking cap and ask yourself
"what picture of an "AFTER" does my prospect want and how can I help them get there?"
When he enters my email and goes through my funnel,
what RESULTS would he experience?
Your lead magnet has to be congruent with what you want to sell. don't offer a lead magnet on copywriting and sell a writer's course at the end.
The rule of the lead magnet is that...
"It should be so valuable, easy to use and implement, paint a vision of what can happen in terms of transformation and help the user understand better how you can be of help to them"
On the size of a lead magnet
At this age, everyone is busy and the amount of information we have to go through online is so much. If you are offering a free lead magnet, cut out the bullshit and just deliver good and accurate information
You do not want to waste time. You have your user's attention. This is your second chance to make a first impression.(The first being your landing page)
Types of lead magnet
Examples of lead magnets that work best are under 3 pages (so it takes 30 minutes to 1 hour to create) and can be
- Templates
- Checklists
- How to's
- Statistics
- Success stories
- Free course ( longer but should not be more than 3-5 emails)
After your lead magnet, send 3 emails and sell something fast. don't wait. Sell Sell Sell. Your product or an affiliate product. SELL. A sold to email list subscriber is going to keep looking for your email in all the noise
Most especially if you are helping them solve a particular email
Find one that works with the product you want to promote and use an effective funnel.
