From the start - My goals for 2018
Hello fellow Wealthy Afilliate members, many of you know me as i've been around for a few years, but to those of you that I haven't met, please say hi and feel free to chat with me!
I started here in Wealthy Affiliate back in October of 2014, so here we are coming up on my four year anniversary in the next few months! YAY!!
Anywho, when I started, I built a website that was based around Organizational Leadership. The site did pretty well actually, but I lacked focus, which is what is needed along with consistency to be continuously successful. After that I took to building the foundations of websites for several folks, usually gamers and youtubers, but every so often an aspiring Affiliate Marketer.
I also built a new website based in Career Leadership through another webhosting platform called Bluehost. It was a great venture, and I sold the website to someone who wanted to take it to the next level, someone who offered me an offer that I just couldn't refuse.
Anywho, I am here now, living comfortably, and building my newest website based mostly in a very difficult, but rewarding and evergreen niche that I have a huge passion for. My niche is based around Supplements, and with minor bits in nutrition and training for both weight loss and muscle gain. I put my largest focus in on supplements as these will be ever changing, and the programs will only slightly change with time as they are based on proven science.
Here is what I have achieved so far...
So far, I spent an entire weekend, last weekend coming up with a catchy, yet short and brandable name, that name is "Supplecore." I bought the website for it after extensively researching copyrights and checking business registeries to make sure I wouldn't be infringing in any way.
I created this website with a static front page and a blog roll page. I feel that it suited the direction I am looking to go the most. I used elementor to create a very attractive front static page, however I am still working on getting all the buttons to work. They are currently non-linked because I am yet to build the pages and subpages for them.
I created an about me page as we all should explaining why this niche is so personal to me and why I want to help people reach their goals as I have mine.
I have also created 2 new posts over the last week, both using site content. I HIGHLY recommend using site content. It is much for efficient than how I used to write! The first post really aimed in on the core of my website, supplements. The second post aimed in on first the first button issue, which is the button where people GET STARTED! haha!
I have received awesome comments from the community on these posts via sharing my link and site comments, thank you for the wonderful comments you all produce by the way, please, keep it up, no matter who you are sending comments to!
My plans for the next 2 weeks...
My plans for the next two weeks are pretty easy, cut and dry, fix my button issues, and create a couple new posts, offer comments via site comments, and receive comments.
Over the next 6 months, I am looking to produce content at a rate of 2 posts a week, which will be 48 posts by the 6th month. I am planning to stick to a schedule so as folks begin to follow me, they can grow to expect content 2 times a week on specific days. I can achieve this by scheduling my publish date and time via the wordpress back office, or by simply sticking to a calendar.
I also plan to grow a social media presence within my chosen niche on Facebook and Instagram through organic growth and paid ads. I will also be building an opt in forum with once a week emails to the list.
Goals for the next year...
I plan to continue growing my followership over the next year, continuing my 2 posts a week, ending the growth year with 96 1000+ word posts. (You think over 100,000 words can rank? UH YEAHH!)
I am hoping that by one year I can grow to expect $500-$600 a month in "profit," meaning after regaining my costs. That is my goal.
My goal for the end of year two...
I am aiming to be 100% job optional by the end of year two, meaning at at least $50,000 in "profit" for the year. (I was job optional, but made a silly mistake, you can ask me about that via PM if you'd like.)
My goal for year three...
I am aiming to hit six figures by the end of my websites third birthday, I am shooting for the stars so if I miss, i'll hit the moon!
The years beyond...
As the years go on, 5, 10, 20, I aim planning to eventually hire a team and grow this into a multi-million dollar business where I can broaden the horizons a bit!
I hope you enjoyed learning some about my goals and really started to day dream about where you could go in the next few years! Remember, the beginning of anything worth doing is always extremely hard, and this is one of the hardest, yet most rewarding paths you could ever follow, both emotionally and financially.
