Can I get a do-over?
Hey everyone,
Getting started is really hard. I got some bad news on Friday (my oldest son has gone to prison). I tried to enjoy the weekend regardless but struggled with emotions, fish dying, and a close friend needing me. Here it is Monday morning and I'd really like a do-over.
I was looking over my website so far and I'm not impressed. I started wondering "if I'm not impressed, why would anyone else be?" I opened up Lesson 2 in Course 2, all ready to go. I can't afford to do the tasks listed in it right now and even if I could, I'm not sure that I want to pay for domains for either of the two sites I've built already. The thought crossed my mind that I can just create a new website. Make it something I will like better and be more motivated and excited about writing about.
Then it hit me. I do this a lot. If something isn't quite right, or just to my liking, or heaven forbid stops being fun, I start over. Is it any wonder that I've not accomplished anything significant in my lifetime? I get things going, all gun-ho, but find some reason to scrap it and start over. Three novels, two major website projects outside of and pre-WA, boyfriends, yeah, it's life-wide. Wow!
This has to stop. I'm almost 42 years old and I need something to show for my life other than a multitude of stalled attempts. They aren't even failures. I didn't stick with them long enough to know whether or not they would fail. So I am NOT going to start over. I am going to stick with what I already have, make what I can of it and learn from it. Then start a new one. This time, I am going to finish! This time, I am going to SUCCEED!

Tweaking is what I'm doing and I have to say, I'm liking where it is going now. Thank you for the supportive encouragement. I do appreciate it.
