We all know that feeling of walking out of a store with a brand new Laptop or buying the latest Phone that no one else has yet. It's called "Retail Therapy" and there are a few Scientific studies that agree. If you are stressed out or having a bad day, buying something On Sale that you can afford really helps to boost your mood.

It takes your mind off of Things.

Shopping Online or at your favorite store takes time and concentration. You have to think about what you want and need to fill the void and this can be distracting. Your forced to focus on your needs and not your worries. It gives you time away from what's happening in your head, at home or at the office. For a short while(if your a Guy, longer if your a Girl) your free to focus on your needs and not your stress.

it's a great confidence booster.

The perfect Jacket or Killer outfit can make you feel Amazing, refreshed and ready to take Life head on. There's nothing wrong with giving yourself a pick me up every once in a while so no one can argue with that. But be careful, don't let the things you own be the only way you feel good about yourself. You do look good but you are Awesome either way.

It's Gratifying.

There are studies about Shopping and Happiness that suggest wanting an item without purchasing it can make you feel good too. But we all know that actually buying the item is sooo satisfying. Wanting the item will push you to work harder for it. Finally buying it means you will take care of it better than simply receiving it as a gift.

Having certain things Helps.

We all need the basics Food, Shelter and clothing but even outside our basic needs that we all share we need that little extra for a hobby we enjoy or a trip we're taking. Having these needs met allows you to reach the goals that we set for ourselves and have great experiences along the way which is another Satisfaction.

So there it is...When you're having a bad day or stressed about something that won't matter in 1 year and you need a mood booster Go Shopping. Just remember that looking at or wanting an item can also help you feel good. It's a great motivator. So if you're running a bit low on funds why not try out a little Online Window shopping.
