IMHO this may be a good approach.
Follow Wayne;s advice.
Why?
We often tend to cringe and be paralyzed that by writing about ourselves may be boring, or that we do not measure up to others who may be more accomplished, better educated, better off financially, etc.
So instead of being frozen up in that frame, you can put limited basic info (perhaps even less than in your profile here).
Why?
Depending on what your website may be about, don't let your audience judge or misjudge you based on other personal life factors, but rather reflect confidence in your abilities to be of service and of value to your audience.
The Facebook profile and personal info sharing would not be a good direction.
Just put yourself in the shoes of your intended audience.
They seek an informed, solid, stable and confident platform to guide them and to cater to their needs.
So, again, IMHO, I would focus on not where the puck was (you before WA) but rather where the puck will be (you as a knowledgeable WA member who can offer advice and services/goods to your audience).
On our CVs and resumes we sum up our experience, skills, education, etc. No one includes that fact that at some point we were all lacking all of those qualities.
So project where you plan to take your website, what services or goods you can provide to your audience and you can surely point to WA's stable and successful history for over a decade.
Again, just MHO.
Blessings!
