Good evening everyone. I hope you all have a productive day. I just wanted to check in and see if you guys think 7 blog posts since Friday was enough. Do you think I should more than that in a week? I just want to make sure I am doing enough but I don't want to bombarded my website either. Any advice would be greatly appreiated. Thank you.

Hey Christine I was pushing about 4 WA 800 words on average posts a week while trying to add threee1500 blog post a week content each to my 3 sites. That production rate was suffering as I was not getting the consistency I wanted. Because it was taking a toll on me and because I really wanted to focus on my sites I have slowed down WA. I now average 3 to 4 posts to my sites and I am seeing my numbers in Google Search Console going up.

There is a lot of research I do to try to make my content unique and stand out. I also am trying to build up my social media on IG and FB particularly so I need some days for content creation. Ultimately you have to know yourself and what you can generate. I know I can maintain 4 posts a week. If you can push up on that either directly or through a ghostwriter super. All the best to you.

Hugh

Hi Hugh, thank you for sharing your experience. I really do appreciate it. I for sure want to do at least 4 post a week on my site. I do need to do more on WA though.

Hey Christin,

Just to confuse matters, I'm going to go slightly against the grain (but that's what I do, lol).

Okay, for a new website I always want to gain as much traction as quickly as possible.

Realistically, most websites see very little traffic, if any, in the first 6 months.

However, you can speed the process up through content creation.

I see the first 3 months as the most important.

My aim is to produce as much content as possible, it's not unheard of to produce 100-150 articles in those first 3 months (more if you outsource).

Front-loading a website with a huge amount of content, and then tapering off to a lesser, but consistent level is a legitimate SEO practice, and it Works.

The real question you should be asking yourself is,

Will the quality of my content remain at a high enough level with my publishing schedule?

If the answer is "Yes" then by all means publish away.

As for consistency of publishing, there are a few schools of thought here, and I don't want muddy the waters and confuse matters.

However, let's just say that the search engines may not be as favourable to a website if they believe the author has completely abandoned a site (it may take them a year or two to come to this conclusion, so a dormant website can still perform well in the meantime).

For me, go for it.

If you feel comfortable doing it and can maintain quality, it's all good.

Partha

I totally agree, you can create as much content as you want as long as it doesn't lose it's quality. I, however, sometimes have a hard time getting one article done in 7 days with my schedule. I would love to have the time to publish that many articles in a week. So yeah, if you can do it, go for it!

Hi Partha, thank you for your incite. I really appreciate it. I am going to keep at it.

The real question you should be asking yourself is can I constantly do this amount of blog posts on my website every week.

You need to be constant to not only gain authority for your website but also provide useful content to benefit your readers.

Google also wants to see consistency.

So if you can write 7 blog posts a week every week over a long period then yes that is excellent.

Better still if you can do so much each week publish 3 per week then 3 the next week and so on.
That way you are constant and if the day comes when you can't write as much for whatever reason you have some up your sleeve to publish on the rough days you will get.

Wishing you well

Andre

Thank you Andre, I am going to keep it going. I want to try to keep 2 blogs in the back pocket just in case I need them. Thank you for the advice.

You are welcome Cristin great to have two in reserve when you need it most.
Wishing you much success and just keep going forward.

Andre

Hey Christine,

Following up on what Simone has already said, I initially loaded my website with as much quality content as I could in my first month or so.

However, since then, I am still writing as much content, only now I am posting on average 4 articles per week and I am posting those on the days that I am historically getting the most visits/views which I get from my Google analytics data.

I am then saving any additional articles or reviews in my drafts to post again the following week.

Let me know if this makes sense or if you ever need help.

All the best,

Mark

Thanks Mark, I am going to try to keep it up. I am working hard at it.

Hi Christin,
Posting a decent article every day to your website is an excellent idea. It's a numbers game and as long as your articles/posts are offering good advice and value, then you are certainly heading in the right direction.

There are many bloggers who do this and it gets results...you just have to stick with it and be aware that it's a long-haul game. But once you start to see results, it will be worth it.

7 posts a week is excellent. Make sure each one is a minimum of 1000 words and has a keyword that is being searched for in the title....try to aim for a minimum of 300 monthly search volume for your keyword and within a year you could be doing really well. Follow the training in here and ask questions. but well done to you.

Thank you for the advice, I do appreciate it.
