Using Downtime To My Advantage

Well it's been roughly a month since I joined Wealthy Affiliate and I have to say that, over the past couple of weeks, I've completely immersed myself in the training and I'm really enjoying it.
With my head in the training, I've not been active within the community here, so I thought it was about time that I wrote my first blog post and let you know what's been happening with me so far.

At the end of September, there I was, literally just starting on the certification training, when suddenly I was struck down with what the doctors call a spontaneous pneumothorax. It is basically a collapsed lung that just happens with no external trauma to cause it.
As you can imagine, I needed urgent medical attention and I spent a week in hospital before undergoing keyhole surgery to patch up the hole in my right lung.

The doctors informed me that all this happened due to small blips or imperfections at the top of the lung, that, for what ever reason, just pop. Interestingly it's more common in tall, fit men.. I'll take your word for that doc :)
I got the green light to return home on the 10th of October, but not before being told that I couldn't do anything strenuous. No work for at least a month, no exercise and definitely no scuba diving!!
Great I thought, all's not lost, at least I can crack on with the Wa training, plus start writing some keyword rich posts for my website. That's exactly what I've been doing, as I know that time will be in short supply when I am fit enough to go back to work.
On a serious note though, the training here at Wa has proved to be invaluable to me, as gave me a focus, but also took my mind off of my recovery.

I'm glad to say that I am almost back to full health now. I have 1 more check up at the hospital to make sure all is healing well and to give me the thumbs up to return to my
job :(
With all that happened other the past month, what are the main points that I've taken from the whole experience.
-Never take your health for granted
-Always keep a positive mindset
-Use periods of downtime to your advantage
