Millions of peaches for me australia a land of hot and cold
Help! I got Too Many Peaches !
Peach tree blooming outside my house
It rarely rains in Australia when it does rain it just spits at you then stops thats it.
However call it global warming climate change or weather changes...its been raining in my town constantly from mid November and as we speak it only has stopped now.
There are peach trees on my property and i got a bumper crop of around 100 peaches from the trees here outside my house. Its been howling rain on the Gold Coast of Queensland too. 300mm of rain 12 inches of rain have devastated homes and businesses in the area.
Spare a thought for China they produce 62% of the worlds peaches with a bumper crop of 15 tonnes.
For the record.Australia is the driest continent in the world. 35% of the continent receives very little rain and is a land of desert.
Go for a trip to Roxby Downs Pt Augusta The Birdsville Track which crosses 3 deserts...Stzelecki,Sturt Stony and Tirari Deserts. It holds the record for the hottest temperature in Australia with 48 degrees.
I lived in South Australia from 1992 to 2009 and it was so dry the skin on my feet used to crack like porcelain the only way I could stop my feet from cracking was to wear socks which would stop my feet from drying and cracking.
Marble Bar in Western Australia is SO HOT AND DRY for 5 long months from Nov Dec Jan Feb March its 40 degrees (104°F).
Marble Bar set a world record for the most consecutive days of 100 °F (37.8 °C) or above, during a period of 160 days from 31 October 1923 to 7 April 1924.
During December and January, temperatures in excess of 45 °C (113 °F) are common.
With all that Sun..People and Scientists are saying Australia is one of the best countries in the world to benefit from Solar Power.
People use their solar blankets solar roof panels solar hot water systems when they go camping and we can get free green electricity and run cold fridges for when we go camping and the camping is good in Australia.
According to Google...
Australia is well-known for its ABUNDANCE OF SUNSHINE. The county has relied on its coal reserves to generate electricity for decades,Solar energy is often described as an untapped resource, with the continent receiving more Solar radiation per square meter than anywhere else in the world...? BUSINESS IDEA ANYONE?
But dont be fooled BY THE HEAT.
Australia is wedged in between HOT AND COLD.
Equator countries of Asia THAT LIE ON THE EARTHS EQUATOR like
Indonesia Malaysia Phillipines Singapore Thailand all HOT tropical countries AS WELLS AS WEDGING BETWEEN A LARGE POLAR DESERT 7000 kms SOUTH.
One can feel the hot and cold effect with the winds...if the wind is a northerly wind look out the country experiences hot humid and vice versa if the wind is a southerly that day look out! the temperature can be unusually biting cold especially in August one of the coldest months in Australia. Take it from me... I live here.
THE WORLDS COLDEST PLACE ON EARTH!...ANTARTICA...which is twice the size of Australia holds the world record for the coldest temperature-89.2 Celsius (-128.6 F) in 1983. OUCH!
IT IS A LAND OF SNOW AND POLAR BEARS. You wont find them in the desert only in the snow.
Move over Artic and cold frozen parts of Canada... According to Wikipeda and my own experience of freezing cold weather the cold weather in Australia starts from May and runs right thru for 6 months until the end of October. The heat in Australia starts from early November and runs right thru to end of April. Phew 6months of hot 6months of cold.
Antarctica is colder than the Artic and all of them for THREE REASONS.
First, much of the continent is more than 3,000 m (9,800 ft) above sea level, and temperature decreases with elevation in the troposhpere.
Second, the Arctic Ocean covers the NORTH POLAR ZONE the ocean's warmth is transferred through the icepack and prevents temperatures in the Arctic regions from reaching the extremes typical of the land surface of Antarctica.
This explains why coastal beach towns of Australia are humid in summer even during the night but drive 300kms inland and spend a nite there and the temperature will drop to 10 degrees (50 degrees farenheight). Eg Humid sticky hot weather in Brisbane at night and Cold temperature drop weather 300kms (185 miles) if you drive to a town inland.
Third, the Earth is at aphelion in July (i.e., the Earth is farthest from the Sun in the Antarctic winter), and the Earth is at perihelion in January (i.e., the Earth is closest to the Sun in the Antarctic summer).
The earths orbital distance contributes to a colder Antarctic winter (and a warmer Antarctic summer).
So basically you have a country of Jumper on Jumper off.
Its really hot SEARTING SOLAR POWER SUN during the day and it can be really biting cold at night. That can be frustrating.
Personally, I love the Asian tropical countries of Singapore Thailand Phillipines Bali Indonesia where the temperature there doesnt change drastically like it does in Australia. This explains why Australians love Bali Indonesia.
Every day is the same core body temperature as your own body 34 degrees (93 farenheight) people are saying 34 degrees (93 farenheight) is too hot. They should stop complaining and be sent to the Birdsville Track to experience REAL HEATWAVE HEAT.
As an example in Adelaide South Australia ( I lived there remember for 17years) the daytime temperature can cook up to 44 degrees(111 farenheight) any month from November to March and the evening temperature can suddenly drop down to 8 degrees (46 farenheight). Those drops of 30+ degree 65 farenheight variations...which i can tell you is NOT NICE AT ALL.
But, there is a lot of good things about Australia too... No people No crowds No congestion No pollution once you get out of the big city and into the countryside.
Thats not the same for the likes of SIngapore Malaysia Phillipines Indonesia and other Asian countries which are teaming overcrowded with people and pollution right?
Sorry Asia...I did say i prefer your countries weather instead of weather in Australia.
