My Progress This Week, Learning AIO SEO
This has been a working week for me. I have been stuck on one website cleaning up everything that needed to be done. I do have another website that needs my attention. I hate feeling like I am neglecting things that really needs my attention. One task at a time.
I was so adamant to having Yoast SEO, not even, giving AIO SEO a chance. I think was I stuck on glitter and lights of plugins.
I had to put in mind back into the concept of cell phones and apps again. If you add too many apps on your phone, it will begin to run slow. Similar to your website. You add too many plugins, it will make your site run slow too.
I will admit it, I never had patience with computers. However, found myself always if front of one. Between looking for a job; working on a job; and in my personal time.
I said all that to say this, I was gang banging on All-In-One SEO for nothing. Yes, gang banging, lol. :-) (I don't gang bang, I've seen it on TV though, lol)
I didn't understand how to use it. Yet it is used in all the lessons and training. I did not give myself a chance at all look of what AIO offered. Therefore, I began to hate using AIO SEO. I would get stuck for days trying to figure it out..
Like I mentioned in other posts, it takes me a minute to come out of my shell. Especially, when it is something new. I know I need to ask more questions. The questions are starting to come out.
My mother used to fuss at me when I was young about asking questions. I would try to fix the issue myself until I hate what I am trying to accomplish. That's how I felt about AIO SEO.
Then, BOOM! I'm in the TOY 'R' US of plugins in WordPress :-)
Found the Yoast SEO Plugin
When I found Yoast SEO, I thought I found GOLD. I activated so quick, I almost forgot to deactivate AIO SEO. With the little training I've seen from AIO SEO, I could understand Yoast so much better. Everything seemed like it was one button and it led you in the right direction of SEO.
I had Yoast SEO for about 4 to 5 months. I thought I was going good with it. However, I put the SEO part on the back burner and concentrated on my content and the training.
When I got to the part of BootCamp, where you can catch up. I took that time to work on my website all together and mainly on SEO.
Going back through Jay's Videos for SEO, I felt I was going in the right the direction until I saw Jay go to Google Analytic and Google Webmaster Tools.
Wait, wait, wait! Did I do that beforehand when I had AIO? Yes, I did with Kyle through the training. Remember I said I replaced AIO SEO with Yoast SEO. Yeah, I forgot everything was erased like my codes when you switch them.
I didn't freak out. I went through it to find, where I needed to implement the codes, which wasn't so hard at all. As I was moving through the steps to do SEO, I noticed the steps became a little difficult to do in Yoast.
So I went back to the videos and listening very carefully. I noticed every video I saw they were Yoast Premium members not Yoast Freebies.
WHAT!?!?
I was trying to use Yoast as a freebie!?!
Not realizing it, I was starting to understand AIO SEO by watching the videos repeatedly while learning Yoast.
Every Plugin Is Not What You Need
I stopped. I just had to STOP. Why did I go to Yoast in the first place because it's prettier than AIO; the screenshot looks more easier to use; or thought it was just better for me?
No, my problem was stuck on 'gotta have it' plugin disease, lol. I relapse time to time ;-)
While watching Jay's videos, I started watching other member's blogs about AIO SEO verses Yoast SEO.
Like I mentioned, each video wasn't talking in freebie mode, instead, in premium mode. As much as I hated it, I had to take Yoast off to put AIO SEO back on because I had to redo a lot of things.
At that point, I want to get through this without any problems. Overtime I detour, I get stuck for no reason when the answer in one each video. Each video, it was in the first lesson when you join WA!
Replaced Yoast SEO Back To AIO SEO
Have you ever watched a favorite movie and always see something different every time?
That's how I look at Jay's Videos and others ;-) Noticing little things in each video are always big information that was messed. I am so thankful we can go back to them whenever we want.
To set AIO SEO back up wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. Clicking on each feature I understood things much better and what members were talking about.
Things I learned in previous lessons, I am just now configuring because of AIO SEO. I know I am far behind. Yet, I'm still moving forward.
I actually felt better going through AIO SEO again. I didn't feel like I felt in the beginning of hating AIO SEO for just not understanding it.
AIO SEO didn't do anything to me but I didn't want to go near it. If I had to I became angry, like gang banging. I called truths, lol. ;-)
Getting Through AIO SEO
Well, I can say I have accomplished a lot today. On my SWAG site, all of my posts and pages are in SEO the right way now :-)
I even accomplished my Google Analytic and Search Console with a crawl on my whole site. Also, I know what I am going to write about next.
You how Jay always said, Just leave it alone. And I will. I just hope I don't forget about it ;-)
As I was writing this post, I began to write 2 other post. When I have a thought, I stop what I am doing and get it out rights then, no matter what. I thought of another post to write for my SWAG website also.
It may not be much but it is a great accomplishment to me. You never know until you try. No seriously, try.

It sounds like you have been putting in some serious work and looking at the analytics will certainly help. There is a lot to do here and I think it's good to concentrate on one thing at a time otherwise it gets confusing and you can feel that you're not getting anywhere.

I still have a long way to go. I know I have to keep pushing. It will get easier as time moves on.
