Monday Afternoon Motivation #2
A very Good Afternoon WA Community.
Well, I have survived the week ;-) and much more.
I have set up my Website, Published my first Post, received feedback on said Post and invested in my named Domain. Will also purchase named Domains for my kids so that when they are older, they will have an investment ready and waiting. And still making my way through the training, as well as the Affiliate Bootcamp training.
OK, enough about my accomplishments, this Post is all about Motivating the Community...
...So here we go.
This is the Foreword of the second book that I am reading in 2022.
The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason

Our prosperity as a nation depends upon the personal financial prosperity of each of us as individuals.
This book deals with with peresonal successes of each of us. Success means accomplishments as the result of our own efforts and abilities. Proper preparation is the key to our success. Our acts can be no wiser than our thoughts. Our thinking can be no wiser than our understanding.
This book of cures for lean purses has been termed a guide to financial understanding. That, indeed, is its purpose: to offer those who are ambitious for financial success an insight which will aid them to aquire money, to keep money and to make their surpluses earn more money.
In the pages which follow, we are taken back to Babylon, the cradle of which was nurtured the basic principles of finance now recognised and used the world over.
To new readers the author is happy to extend the wish that its pages may contain for them the same inspriation for growing bank accounts, greater financial successes and the solution of difficult personal financial problems so enthusiastically reported by readers from coast to coast.
To the business executives who have distributed these tales in such generous quantities to friends, relatives, employees and associates, the author takes this opportunity to express his gratitude. No endorsement could be higher than that of practical men who appreciate its teachings because they, themselves, have worked up to important successes by applying the very principles it advocates.
Babylon became the wealthiest city of the ancient world because its citizens were the richest people of their time. They appreciated the value of money. They practiced sound financial principles in acquiring money. They provided for themselves what we all desire ... incomes for the future.
G.S.C.
Now, I have to admit, I have had this book sitting on my bookshelf for the best part of 5 years and not even opened it up to read the first chapter.
Well, when I read the Foreword, it resonated with me so much, that after 2 days, I am over half way through the book now, and looking to finish it in the next few days.
It is truly amazing how, you can buy a book like this because you thought it was a good idea or someone mentioned it was a good book, but did not really take much notice...
...Then, when you actually read it and understand why that person said to get the book and read it.
It's like THAT "Light Bulb Moment!"

Definitley worth a read in my opinion. Just be aware that the author has written it in Old English.
Hope you all have a good week and remember, "A Journey Begins with the First Step!"
Regards,
Chris
