I just found 3 very similar .com domains in a odd niche with a great KQI rating, QSRs below 85, SEOs at 85, 87, and 96, and lots of traffic for first page ranked sites. Should

Nowadays, domains are not so affected by SEO vs. writing quality-rich content with a good choice of keywords, which would rank you in the search engines.
I honestly don't see the need to Chris. I wouldn't buy domains based on the competition of the keyword you are trying to rank for because the domain has very little bearing on that. It's the content of your site that will get it to rank.
