Illness, Depression and me.

You know when something feels so good you just want to grab it with both hands and nurture the living daylights out of it. That's how i feel about my opportunity with WA, but i just don't sleep some times for days on end and then i can't keep my eye's open for a day or so, sleep pattern is all over the place.

I had an idea around this for a niche, maybe i'll do it later, i know i should be on with my books for children as my first niche, the thing is i'm really still learning about all that publishing stuff and writing to a degree so i'm not really sure how to make it valuable.

My main problem is the constant pain from my back, Degenerative osteoarthritis is as it say's on the tin, Osteoarthritis, which is a crystalizing in between the bones, i'm told, and being degnerative, It's only going to get worse. Believe me when i say, some day's it's like having a hot poker thrusting between the joints in my spine, absolutely excruciatingly painful 24/7. Do you ever have a day when you know exactly what you need to do and you know it's what you should do, but that headache or something is just preventing you from all the ability in the world and for some strange reason you just haven't got the energy to get off your back side and go to work. If this sounds like an excuse, it's not. I know where i want to go and now i have a way to do it, but apart from all the learning and studying, there is pain and depression and finally ME.

I'm very sorry for you, Chris. My husband has constant pain too. I've been fighting with his and my depression together. I pray for you. Take care. Olga

Likewise Olga and thanks for your concern, my best to you both

I have had some rough medical issues, but never been in constant pain. So I can only imagine what you are going through. Best wishes and try to keep hanging in there. Prayers are with you

Thanks Larry it helps when i see replies like this from someone i've never met and don't know, yet you all take time to care. It really is touching.

Hi Chris....I FEEL every word you say. It takes a very unique method, and some outside thinking, but there is a way out of your "ailments".
I have done it myself.
Honest.....it all went away.
Mark

I'm affraid there is only one quick way and believe me when i say i have considered it more than once, i have one ear listening to what you say mark, i wait for your responce.

Does this diet have a name or a web site to contact, how would i get hold of it to check it out and have a go for myself?

I have compiled all of my research.... a months work on one of my sites. http://yourmillionairedaddy.siterubix.com/the-water-fast
It's every imaginable link or question you would need answered....I did all the googleing for you. It's not a diet Chris....it's just simply "water fasting".....fasting on water only.....for as many days as you feel you can honestly give. I personally did 36 days on my first fast...and 30 days on one I did 3 weeks after the first one. It's a mind set and a serious "GAME CHANGER".... It's completely misunderstood and goes against everything we are taught in our lives....but it works.....plain and simple....not easy....not painless.....but it works....and not feeling of hunger at all after day 4..... That's my 2 cents....

the hardest part of a long term illness, that will not get better,is accepting that fact. It is very hard and often times people may look at you and say oh your looking great, when your hurting so bad you can barely move.

And you feel like no one understands and never will.
And in a way that is true no one can feel your pain.No one can deal with your pain but you. But,listen to your body, get you a tablet, work on things from bed. there is 10 inch ones that are fairly cheap, and you can watch tv on internet with them as well. so on days you need to nurture yourself you can.

Do what you can when you can. And quit beating yourself up over it. When you get it accomplished it will mean so much more because u will know how hard it was to do.

Each day some days you got to take it one minute at a time. Sometimes you need to work on a hobby to just zone out and not think about it, do not push yourself to the point that your beating yourself up and telling yourself you suck, cause you do not.

It is a real illness, and the pain meds cause a lot of what your feeling if your taking them,or the medicine you may take for it.
Never underestimate those side effects. I am in same situation, i got fibromyalgia ,cml leukemia, and i am bipolar. when depression hits, its like the whole world is in a black cloud,

The only help,is something fun,not something hard, and honestly though this is fun it is hard because you must think so much.
So cut yourself a break, read a book, play a game, make something or be creative somehow. Or just sleep if you need to,sleep fixes our bodies.
If you ever need to talk,

hugs God be with you;]

Having found a passion is the best cure for any depression, so you are definitely on the right track! Pain and depression are very debilitating but there are things you could look into if you haven't already, like if there is things you can eat (or not eat) to fight the osteoarthritis. Staying away from carbs (sugar, white flour, pasta, potatoes etc) helps quite a lot and so does eating ginger, turmeric and flour made from Rosehip skins (don't know if skins is the right word but you know what I mean ;) )
I have a lot of the same problems you do and this is just some of the things I have found on the Internet that can have a really good effect.
Keep up the good work and forget the set backs!
Take care,
Kristina

Thanks lillakiara, i already do most of what you suggest, but i thank you for offering your suggestions. Thanks so much Kristina, take care.

I'm right there with you Chris, three factors of destruction. I have arthritis and sciatica, the list goes on, Alcohol was an escape at one stage, but that led to more problems, as it does (but that's another story) so that had to go, that was a long painful road. My financial goals are still important and necessary, but since joining WA, the learning and participating in the community is a distraction from all that and has given me a new driving force to succeed. Great Blog Chriss, Good luck and best of success, Allen.

Thanks Allen, yes i tried the dreaded alchohol some years ago, as the shrinks will tell you "there are no answers in a bottle bottom" Thanks again for your kind words.

Your welcome Chris.

So Sorry to hear this. I hope you feel better shortly.

Thanks for the kind thoughts MMcConnell.

I suffer with bad depression also but the Osteoarthritis must be hard to live with.I do understand what you say about the sleeping cycle,I usually go to bed at 1.00 am or after it sometimes,I teach piano part time and still live at home with Mum and my aunt Ruby.I usually got to bed in the afternoon and sleep maybe a bout three hours,I get tired easily as I have an under active thyroid gland and this makes you feel exhausted. However it,s not great for you and I when our sleep patterns are not consistent,we really need to be going to sleep at 10.30 11.00 max.Only when all aspects of life are sorted out properly is when we benefit.

Thanks tomtitty, i surely hope you find a respite from it, my wife has a thyroid problem and they say it can be cured now with the right medication. Thanks again my friend

I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you Chris. Today I have been struggling with the cold and a nagging headache since I got up.But you remind me that both will pass and I'm actually very lucky. All the best to you.

Thanks for your kind words Mrpeter, hope the head gets better soon.

Great Chris. You are able to identify everything that is happening with yourself. Quite a lot of people can not. And the best thing is you know where you want to go and found a way to do it. Great

This is the message i was trying to convey, but i have to thank everyone for their concern and kind thoughts. Since joining WA i have a new direction, won't cure but it does help somehow, with such a lovely bunch of people and a chance to really change my life. I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go, but it does seem possible, even if i can't donate every day, yes there is a light.

Sorry Hongov i forgot to say thanks for your kind words. Thanks my friend

Yes Chris - There is a light and that light is in you - that light is you.
