Are You Having Trouble Creating Content? Here's My Best Tip

Last Update: October 14, 2015

Greetings WAers.

It's safe to say that a lot of bloggers here (and outside of WA) have a problem with creating consistent content.

Constantly publishing content is no easy task and it's safe to say that the "bulk" of your work as an online marketer will be to create content for your site(s).

I've struggled with this for a long time (and sometimes I still do) but I have found one great tip that helps me be consistent in my writing efforts.

I've decided to share this with the community here at WA. It may help you or it may not but I think it's worth a try. ;)

The way I stay focused on my business and publish consistently is by....

...writing a minimum of 300 words per day.

That's it.

That's the whole tip. I admit it may not be as "sexy" as you may have thought but I can gurantee you that it works.

Let me explain:

300 words a day is 2100 words a week.

An ideal length for a blog post (especially if you're a beginner) will be to publish 1000 word articles.

(I always try to reach that as a bare minimum on all my posts.)

It's long enough to get my point across and short enough to respect the reader's time.

Disclaimer: I have published blog posts where I went over 3000 words but that's when I am reviewing a product or I'm explaining something in detail.

Anyways back to the 300 words...

With writing 300 words a day, you're producing 2 high quality articles a week.

I have two main blogs where I write and publish 1 article per week on both. This "300 word" tip has helped me stay focused and write more consistent content without the "burnout" that many bloggers experience.

If you would like to publish more content per week, then the answer is to increase your daily minimum.

Maybe go for 500 words a day? A 1000? Just find something that is comfortable and stick to it.

And when I say "stick to it", I mean everyday, no days off: No birthdays, no sick days, no vacations, no excuses.

Just do your minimum set number of words and you will see how easy it will be for you to publish great content consistently.

I guess the point I'm trying to make here is how to be consistent with a comfortable writing schedule.

I can easily write 2000 / 3000 / 5000 words a day but I know I will burn out in a week or so so I don't do that (anymore).

Some might prefer to get their blog post done in one sitting but for me, walking away and coming back the next day always turns out a better article.

The 300 limit has been perfect for me and I'm really enjoying my writing. Plus I always go a bit above my 300 limit cause usually by the 300th word my mind is buzzing with ideas on what to write (I'm sure you will experience this too).

After I pass my 300 words though, I can feel satisfied that I did my job for the day and I wasn't burned out by the end of the day.

Hope this short post will help you write better and more consistently. If you do try it, please share your experience down below in the comments.

I challenge you to try it for a week and share with me your results, I'm looking forward to hearing about your experience.

Till next time WA.

Keep learning and keep earning.

CLV
