ranking with weight loss keywords
I thought that after over a month, It`s time to report on how my website is More importantly, how I`m getting ranked for weight loss keywords...
Now when I started, It took about two weeks to start getting ranked for this and that. At my peak, I got a meager 4 search hits, then it happened...
My site completely dropped out of the rankings. Besides being anxious about weight I would come back or not, I am an extremely impatient person so this was like torture to me.
Anyways I did some checking around and one opinion I got was that I was doing the google dance and the other was that perhaps my content wasn`t so good. So I fixed my content and ended up deleting about 30 posts in the clean up process-still not sure if that was a mistake or not.
So now it`s about 3 weeks later. I`m finally starting to get 2-3 search hits a day to my site and I`m hopefull to get a lot more. I wonder how this compares to other, less competitive niches. Has everyone had a similar experience as this within their respective niche?

I have had about 3 search hits in 2 weeks.Ok its the first two weeks so should go up a little more. I am guessing it would be to do with the keywords you are focusing on. Weight loss I am guessing is a pretty huge sector, I would hesitate to call it a niche. What are you specifically focusing on to narrow it down? (HA look at me, a couple of weeks in thinking I'm all that and a bag of chips :)
Well I`m narrowed down to "six pack abs" but technically most of my stuff is on general weight loss. So what`s your niche?
Also sorry to break it to ys but soon your site is gonna drop down. You just have to stay calm and get through that period of a couple days to weeks. When you bounce back you will be in better shape overall. I`m currently going through this with my second site too. I`m just happy to be getting it out of the way lol.
Im in graphic novels, mainly non superhero stuff. I think most of my traffic is direct. I have only had 2 searches come to my site so far. I put a link on a facebook group Im on and asked for them to test the google analytics as I only had 2 posts. It seems enough liked it to come back and check on new content. Must keep that up :)
I'm not sure how I would go about it for six pack abs. There's a muscle building fitness aspect, beach stuff, home routines etc but you seem to have a lot of stuff covered. Hey I have only been here for a couple of weeks. I know nothing! :)

You will get more hits, as you streamline and focus on what your target group searches for. Ask your visitors and address their concerns. In my weekly training, target upper and lower body on alternate days. Might do the same on your site. Your site (trying to find your other one) was really good and clearly informative. Believe a total overall body workout is important to achieve a wellness lifestyle. And patience. Just saying. ^_~
