Finally starting to get ranked!
I know people usually like to brag about their first commission but there's other exciting milestones happening too! after over 3 weeks of working on my boot camp site day in day out I got my first search traffic. Just a single visit to my main page but I can see now how it all comes together. Can`t wait to see my search traffic start to really grow!
This is enough to give me the confidence to keep going!

Excellent, yes it's a good thing because it is a starting point. You can say that you are on your way now.
I wish I could say the same, I'm still waiting for Google to index my site but it doesn't seem to be happening :(
You need links into your site for google to find you. An easy way to do this is to use the "fetch as" function on webmaster tools.
Done that, indexed it 2 days ago and did the "Fetch" thing about 20 hours ago. Just waiting now...
It should only take minutes if you do it right. Open up google and do a search for your url. If you`re indexed, it should show up. Don`t expect your website to show up at the top right away even with an exact domain name keyword
Yes I know. I have been wondering if I have done something wrong. I "published" the site a week ago, it shows up if I search for the URL but none of the keyword phrases are in the top 20 on google. Jaaxy search results suggest they should be doing much better.
I have done something similar in the past and had no problems getting stuff in at least the first few pages in google pretty quickly without any problems.
Something just doesn't seem right here; webmaster tools says that no pages have been indexed or crawled.

So long as your url is ranked, I wouldn`t worry about it. My first week I was barely ranked in the top 20 pages either. Oh and don`t worry about what webmaster tools says, they are always serously out of date with their data in my experience.
Ah thanks for clarifying that, lots of work to do on it anyway yet but at least I can stop pondering over the indexing. I haven't used Webmaster for a few years.
Not me! No need for anybody to lose hope, just keep tweaking it until it works.
Lots of work to do on this one yet anyway, it's a bit of a prototype really, put together to help me get a feel for WordPress mostly so that I know what to do when my main site, which it's currently being professionally redesigned on WP, is ready
I agree, confidence building is the key. When you have it and especially lots of it you like yourself, and when you do you are inspired and motivated and so the work becomes easier. When that happens it's not like you're working at all because you like what you're doing..!
Yup once you see results you start to believe in the methods in a more "feedback" kind of way. I will DEFINETLY have fun watching my traffic numbers(and commissions) grow!

Yup! I can`t wait to start getting serious numbers. I do a post or a page a day just to push things along so there will be plenty of ranking opportunity as time goes on!

Keep going my friend only time and consistent effort is required.
As easy as that sounds, we all know it isn`t lol. It`s the battle with your own doubts that is the hard part in all this!
If you still have doubts at this stage choppydo watch last nights WAbinar by Jay. The first thing we got to work on is on our mindset, then things will seem a lot easier. It really is as simple as that.

From what I`v seen, I am quite confident. Just pointing out that confidence in our plans is where most people get the energy sucked out of them. Lol I just realized it`s morning! Ya I saw the webinar, it`s more for beginners, didn`t really learn much t my stage.I think I`m at the point where I do have the knowledge to take me all the way, but it still helps to keep seeking to improve.
