New Canva AI Updates February for 2026 - I Can Already Tell The Difference!

If anyone here read my last couple of blog posts about Grok, Gemini etc. and my use of AI Image generation beyond Wealthy Affiliate ImageStudio - then maybe you see how fed up I've been with Canva and its own AI. I mean actually Grok has continued to help me out big time here. If you aren't using Grok you must be living under a rock lol

But anyway, either today or yesterday I started noticing that Canva was working a lot better than usual.

Even with text generation - which I'm not sure if you noticed before was not very good. I am guessing last few days I've started noticing this - it is now so much better.

New Canva AI Update For 2026

What I thought initially was maybe it was just luck of the draw. I got 1 or 2 good images and this was maybe a rare occurrence. After all, it's quite advanced technology so it must be capable of making the odd good AI Image where the text doesn't look like a dogs dinner but then I thought

"Actually, I wonder if they have had an update?".
So, I typed this in Google and sure enough YES THEY HAVE ! Thank you God - I'm actually a bit (or a lot) excited about this, and if this is the new normal then maybe $99 a year isn't so much to pay. Hopefully they don't put it up now lol

Would not be surprised if they did at all but anyhow if you are curious this was my search result.

What This Means For My Business?

I know - they are the competition and I'm not writing this post to disregard ImageStudio or Wealthy Affiliate but for what I'm doing - namely creating visuals for my blog posts and Pinterest - this is great news.

I'm not quite sure about the AI Video generation yet - it sounds promising. Maybe this could be helpful with posting on some new platforms maybe (Instagram, TikTok or YT) - will see what happens.
