Week 2 - Things are Heating Up - FOCUS

My mind is screaming with content ideas. I have page after page of notes with ideas, how they can link into each other, tie into my WA review page....oh my goodness.

It's exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. I have so much I want to write about.

I am thinking about getting a Rolodex and writing each content idea and an outline on each card so every day I can just go through and pull one because right now, with my lack of organization, it makes it hard to focus and I need to focus.

The more I work through the lessons here, the more potential I can see for all the places this can take me and that's exciting.

I definitely want to find myself a routine of some sort to keep the momentum going because I am so scared of just shutting myself down from pure mental overload.

I am also reading Napolean Hill's Think and Grow Rich.

It's not because I am over here dreaming of being a millionaire. But the mindset is very important.

I completed the 6 steps mentioned in this book and have them next to my computer to read every morning and every evening as it says to.

One of the most important things I wrote down was, "Giving up anything that hinders me, causes me doubt, brings me down."

That has been very helpful in keeping me from allowing myself distractions.

I find that when I want to go do something unproductive like just see what's happening on Facebook or something, I can remind myself that will not get me to my goals.

Moving forward will.

And I can't get lost time back.

The stories are encouraging too.

So many people started with nothing but an idea, a dream, a desire for better.

Taking time out every evening to read and even highlight, put notes in the margins; has been great because that way I am not just doing something like picking up my phone and getting distracted by things that will kill my progress such as shiny object syndrome or seeing other people who are doing well and then comparing my beginning to someone else's middle.

Both of those will get you every time.

This is a crucial point I think that most of us will go through. We are still at the beginning stages and it's so easy to compare and get discouraged.

I need to focus on completing the training, the tasks, and continue building out content to help my audience.

It's all within reach for every single one of us. We are in the right place, we have the training, tools, and unbelievable support.

Well, going back to it.
