Consultant Needed!
I'm kind of in a pickle...I put these classes on hold for a couple of months and now I'm struggling to re-connect. Also, I need to vent a little.
In a nutshell...I had two unavoidable trips to Washington and one to Arizona after my health scare in November. I'm grateful that we can work from anywhere but I've got to say it's harder than I thought it would be. It was really difficult to find time to be online. And internet access was sketchy at times.
My rankings dropped dramatically which isn't surprising but I'm back trying to get my ducks in a row.
Problem #1: I'm getting near zero traffic on my websites. I know I need to post more but even when I was diligent, the only visitors I got were from WA. I post on Social Media and try to connect with as many people as possible. Part of the problem is one of my niches has tons of competition. I thought I did a good job of researching keywords but apparently I didn't.
And I think there might be a problem with SEO. When I checked Analytics a day or so ago, there were a bunch of error messages. Some of them I just can't figure out how to fix. Besides not being able to interpret a lot of that data, it's entirely possible I screwed something up. :-(
Problem # 2: I am trying to work with a couple of websites that I had going before joining WA. Because of my husband's illness and then after he passed away, I just didn't have the oomph to keep up with them. Plus he made me promise not to sell our business for a year which was a mixed blessing...kept me busy which was what I needed but made it hard to concentrate on anything else.
In the meantime, both of my domain names expired and someone snapped them up. Just made me sick. My fault, of course, for letting them expire but it was just part of that icky period of my life.
I also had written more than 50 articles that are on HubPages (I was with Squidoo and when that ended, they were transferred to HubPages) and I'm just not into HubPages. I don't know how to move them all to perhaps another personal blog?
So here's my dilemma...I need advice. If any of you real WA pros (or if you know someone who could help me) would mind looking at my settings and giving me the scoop, I'd be most grateful. If it turns out that I'm just not turning out good content, I'll have to deal with that.
Plus if someone could check out my HubPages (PM me for the link) and help me decide what to do with them before I'm booted out of HubPages, I'd be most grateful. I'd love to be able to work them into my WA life. I have no clue how to do that.
Also, I'd love if someone would share their typical work day with me. I have a difficult time structuring my day. I have a fairly full schedule outside of WA but besides that, I'm constantly researching possible posts for my websites. And I write and rewrite. Probably more than I should but I'm just not that self-confident, I think.
I've reached Kyle's lesson (6 of 10) in bootcamp where we're to write non-stop for 30 minutes and I'm going to do that today!
I'm happy to hire whoever can help me get back in the swing of things. I don't have unlimited funds but I honestly believe I could recoup the expense if I'm on the right track. Please send me a PM if I'm making sense and you're available.

Cheryl, I too am sorry to hear of the status of your sites, your husbands passing, and the difficulties in your life. But thank you for reaching out as you have, as it is encouraging to others to see that you have responses, encouragement, and assistance.
The past few months have totally knocked me off course. Continuing progress through the classes or on my site have had to take the back seat over circumstances. You are a HUGE encouragement!

I'm pretty sure that you and I aren't the only WA members who've been knocked off course, on occasion...and who gets us back on course? Yep! We help each other...isn't that just the best? Blessings to you, too.
I am sorry to hear of your difficulties and I set a schedule for each day and break it down to tasks to be completed in a certain time period
That's just what I'm going to do, KatieMac. A schedule is what I really need. I did receive some additional advice and links to useful sites for figuring out the Webmaster errors so just have to piece it all together. Thanks very much for your help, as well.
Steph, thank you! The world isn't coming to an end but I'm sort of at my wits end, if you know what I mean!! I meant Webmaster, not Analytics...sorry! It says there are 5 errors on the sitemap. I took a screen shot of the page but don't know how to post it.
Also, there are 31 pages with blocked resources. I think they have to do with my Target affiliation but not sure. I'm going to try following the instructions in Webmaster to unblock them. Wish me luck!
Okay. You can "attach am image" at the bottom of your comments here at WA and upload the screenshot that way. We recently had to replace our water heater too and OUCH on the pocketbook.
Fortunately, my insurance is taking care of most of the damage! But it's a mess, that's for sure.
So I'm going to try to attach the screen shots. Now the blocked resources says 28 pages...not sure why it went from 31 to 28.

Thanks, Fran. Well, I decided to just hang onto the HubPages for now and update them as I can. The posts are pretty random...some recipes, some travel posts, etc. Maybe I just need to spend more time there. Maybe one morning a week...I've got to get in there and make sure my Amazon affiliation is current there, too.
Okay, well if you ever want to grab a page before you take it down, I can do that for you, or create a quick script which will allow you to do it. So just shoot me a PM...(and remind me that I said this! LOL. :)

I meant save the content from each of your Hub Pages, so that you could transfer the content to, or at least have the content available to you to post on your WA niche blog, instead. Isn't that what you wanted, initially, or did I misunderstand? :)
No, you didn't misunderstand, at all. Just wasn't sure what you meant. Thank you...I will definitely ask for your help when I figure out what to do with them!
