Hello everyone inside of the Wealthy Affiliate & Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone is doing well in the 🌍!

Okay so today I wanted to post a blog and start with the title that says, "why are people so naturally nosey" So I asked Bard for some answers and as always it literally took seconds for it to generate an answer to a question so here it is below! Let me know what you think in the comments!

Why are people so nosey?

There are many reasons why people are nosy. Some of the most common reasons include:

1. Curiosity: People are naturally curious about the world around them, and this includes other people. We want to know what makes other people tick, what their experiences are like, and what they're up to.

2. Loneliness: Sometimes, people are nosy because they're lonely. They may not have many friends or close relationships, and they may feel like they need to know more about other people in order to feel connected.

3. Boredom: Sometimes, people are nosy because they're bored. They may not have anything else to do, and they may find it entertaining to pry into other people's lives.

4. Jealousy: Sometimes, people are nosy because they're jealous. They may see someone else who has something they want, and they may try to find out more about them in order to feel better about themselves.

5. Need for control: Sometimes, people are nosy because they have a need for control. They may feel like they need to know everything about everyone in order to feel secure.

It's important to remember that not all nosy people are bad people. Some people are just naturally curious, and they don't mean any harm by asking questions. However, it's also important to set boundaries with nosy people, and to let them know when you're not comfortable answering their questions.

Thanks for tuning as always and until then!

Be safe,

Myra 💜

I think being nosey may also stem from a need to learn. I once read that telling stories about our experiences and listening to other people's experiences is an evolutionary defence mechanism. We learn from other people's experiences. They did a study where firemen shared their scary experiences and the firemen who listened to those stories tended not to make the same mistakes and were more prepared in difficult situations, even though they'd never faced it themselves. So I think some of our nosiness is just built right in!

Good answer, thank you for sharing it with me.

Yesterday, a Facebook friend had a post that started with, just being nosey …What kind of car do you drive? It evidently had been around because there were thousands of answers.

So I would add to your list, some people are nosey just for fun.

Thanks for your post, Myra!

Myra, you’ve pointed out some great explanations as to why some people are so nosey! Some would suggest that it is human nature to pry.

Whatever the reason, it’s bound to affect all of us at one point or another.

Canty

How are you doing, Bro? Riding the motorcycle yet?

Jeff

Sup JB? Not yet, been tied up traveling and dealing with family. I sure that you’ve been cruising. Soon though! 🤣😂🤣

Canty

A few short trips around town, Canty! Glad to hear from you, my friend!

Jeff

Good answer, Canty!

Thank you for sharing it with me.

It would be interesting to know what you think of Bard’s answers Myra. I have an opinion and I am looking forward to beingnosey and reading some of the replies.
When does showing an interest in others cross the line into just simply being an interfering pain in the bum.
Bux

Hi Bux!

Well what I think of Bards answers where do I begin? 🤔 💬

Myra 💜

Exactly right Myra. Nosey seems to imply a negative action. Nosey neighbours for instance. Human nature I suppose to look at the negative and Bard has been cleverly programmed to reflect this. Just how do they do it, very interesting.
Thanks for the post, got me thinking about AI.

Not at all Myra. I find your posts about Bard fascinating. How do they do it, its so clever. Next question, should we be worried about where this might lead.

Oblivious it was a fast thinker when it wrote the answer to my question! I think it will lead into something interesting I hope! 😅

Take it in the positive light Myra! “That they care!”
Sometimes it can be overwhelming and annoying! But take it and respond to nosy people positively! Sometimes they have too much time! I wish I have too much time!
