One resistance I have always had is sharing personal details about myself online. Is this absolutely necessary? If so, especially for some niches I can imagine involving lifest

You can share the time thats is available to you !
And if you decide to share personal information you can do it this way !
First of all a good picture of you, a natural where you shine and one that you think is the best one!
Change about me in about + YOUR NAME
Maybe you will use the about me page as your home page thats why your picture is so important.
You have to write about you like you are telling a part of your life to your children.....
Not like an intervieuw !
Separations in your text !
Paragraphs !
Highlights bigger lettertype , bold.....
Work with white spaces...
Remember that people are so focused on doing several things at a time that they are distracted a lot an they can not be concentrated for more than a few minutes...

I think you should write as much about yourself as u are comfortable with. As u grow your business I am sure that u will become more comfortable to write more about your life. Just my thoughts.

It's good to share stories so people can relate to you, but just share what you are comfortable with :-)
