Your image must be in png, jpg, or jpeg format. If you are uploading from a mobile, you have a tiff format; you need to convert it to the correct format before you upload it.

I have tried several times and cannot get it to edit.

Try saving your profile picture from Facebook to your computer (like on your desktop for example) first and then upload from there.
Click on your profile pic. It will open up bigger, click it again. It will then open up an area for you to add a picture. The picture has to be in the system first. Then you can choose it to change it.
