My journey to the business world
I am a biochemist by academic qualification and I love freedom and independence, and value my personal space a lot.
I've always wanted to run a business of my own where I can work at my own time and pace, but the science world does not offer that.
I also have baking, sewing and hair styling skills and have tried them out, but none was successful. And, none was promising the life and future I wanted.
I began researching on online businesses I could venture into. I invested in an online business i wouldn't disclose, and my money went down the drain.
I tried out network marketing, but am not good at trying to convince someone verbally to patronise me or partner with me. I prefer to do a lot of writing, not a lot of talking.
I came across two different people who promised to teach me all I needed to know and how to run an online business. All they did was leave me with some manual I could make nothing of and that was it.
How am I supposed to understand what to do and what not to do with some manual that had basically business terms and terminologies, of a business I know nothing about. Everything was strange.
But I didn't give up, because I knew what I was looking for, and I knew the result was somewhere, I just needed to dig a little deeper to find it.
At some point, I decided to develop my writing skills since I am very passionate about writing. Then I came across an article that talked about affiliate marketing being a good stuff for people who are in love with writing.
I began researching on affiliate marketing, and I came across wealthy affiliate. I tried to sign up, but was getting some error message.
I kept trying till I saw an article by a member. I contacted her and I received my membership email after about twenty four hours or so.
Upon joining I was not still sure if I've found the answers I was seeking, until I started my training and completed the tasks that came with them as well.
Then I told my brother and my boyfriend that I believe I've found the answers I've been looking for.
Their responses were, "how sure are you?" "remember your past experiences." "have you not learnt from your past experiences that all these online stuff are scam?" and so on and so forth.
My response was simple, "just give me at most two months and you'll know if it was a mistake or not".
I am determined to succeed so I can prove them wrong, and share my success story with thousands of people out there who have had similar or worse experiences as mine, or are scared because of things they've heard or seen concerning online businesses.
To encourage them that there are still trust worthy and credible people out there. And, that anyone can be and achieve whatever they want to, as long as they set their mind to it. Determination is the key.
"There is a woman I want to be, and I won't stop until I have become that woman". I hope to someday inspire young people to succeed with my own success story.
