Practice makes perfect.
Practice makes perfect, right? That's how the old saying goes. We have built two websites previous to joining WA. You can check one of ours out at hardcorespartan.com (not a perfect site, but its our baby! ) Our other site is currently undergoing a makeover. We started our first site going on very little knowledge. We were a bit 'quick to shoot' I suppose, learning about affiliate marketing and wanting to jump in head first as quick as possible. We have yet to make one red cent from hardcorespartan, but we are proud of it. It was work. It took are precious time to incubate that baby and grow it into what it is.
In hind sight, hardcorespartan could have been constructed in a better way if we had just taken the time to learn a little more before creating it (and if we had found WA first of course) . That is why I am going to throw out this suggestion for all of the "NEWBIES" out there. Take your time to learn! Learn from everyone here, learn from all the valuable recources here. Check out the WAbinars! and I strongly suggest you go through lesson one in the GETTING STARTED portion of wealthy affiliate and then head over to the AFFILIATE BOOTCAMP and build a site using the knowledge you gain from the getting started course as a practice site. You will be able to build a profitable site (evenif its your first one) and soon, you'll be a seasoned veteran (we're working on veteran satus!) building websites about your passions, likes and interests..and making a living by doing it! Remember PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!
Wishing Everyone the success they deserve!

Thanks Chels and Ash, Experience is an amazing thing, generally it is earned and not bought. My thought about your Blog though. is that you're well on your way to getting the success you deserve. Hopefully I'll be better qualified in the days to come to offer more. Well Done and Best regards, Barry
Regardless of the cliche, everything you said is soooo true, and went through it a couple of times. Thanks
What if practice makes permanent and perfection is better replaced by excellence?
I say this because sometimes wanting something perfect can stop us from taking action where as if we strive for excellence, we set ourselves up to take more action and understand the mistakes better as growth and development on the road to excellence.
We cannot agree with this more! We literally took months trying to be perfect at everything we did and it was really holding us back. It is so much better to 'DO' and make mistakes then strive for perfection and not get anywhere! Well said The Hammer! Best wishes to you!
