Picking a Niche!

I Am currently on course 1 Lesson 3, which is picking a Niche. I Have Many interests and hobbies It is difficult for me to pick one. Guitar/music is the biggest one for me but I feel that it would be hard to stand out among the many guitar websites already out there.

It is the opinion of this one that promoting WA would bring me the quickest returns, due to the fact that not only is it a solid product/service. But In my case, I already have an affiliate related facebook page with a few hundred likes and I personally feel that WA would be very easy to promote there. Not mention FB advertising is quite cheap frankly, when I decide to take that page to the next level.

Now all this being said, I was hoping for some feedback as to weather:

1. Is a Facebook Page enough to get started promoting WA for now? Or should I also use one of my two free sites to promote as well ? I would like to hold on to my free sites if possible.

2. With the goal of quickest returns in mind what do yall recomend for niches? I understand that I will not become rich overnight , and It will most likely take weeks if not months to see any decent returns, but at the same time I am trying to accomplish my money goals as quick as possible.

3. Aside from WA what affiliate network do you recommend or have had success with ? I am personally leaning towards Google Adsense , only because I don't know any better.

Some of my other interests include: Chess, Financial advice (example stock market) , Video Games, Gardening , Cooking, Television Shows, Japanese Anime , Conspiracy Theories , Politics , Spiritual Awareness , 420 and Mma/martial arts

Any feedback or constructive criticism is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi Chad,

I didn't promote WA as a niche and the reasons were twofold.

1. I didn't think I could continually write about that niche. In hindsight I think I was a bit hasty with that thought. I could easily write in that niche. Would it hold my interest though? Well, that's another question for later. I may still do another website in that niche. I haven't decided yet. You may well get some quick returns but I am looking at the bigger longer term picture.

2. I felt there was too much competition to compete in that niche. Everyone seems to be promoting WA so I decided to do something else. Something that interested me. I am glad I did because I am yet to suffer from Writer's block, well, not for any length of time. I now have 31 posts and 5 pages and I am growing in confidence as the weeks go by.

I would advise you to write about something that really interests you, like conspiracy theories ;-)

Thank you brother Craig for your feedback! I honestly appreciate and respect the fact that you took the time to write a couple of paragraphs. Also I agree with you about the longer term investments , like most business plans there's always a quality vs quantity argument. Problem is it takes money to make money, at the current moment I have to keep the costs to the bare minimum, so I'm trying to "nickle and dime it" as much as possible so to speak. All depends on your short term or long term goals I suppose, I'm guessing a large part of this is picking keywords that there's not alot of competition in can't imagine alot of people do conspiracy theories but I dont know if Im ready for such a controversial topic lol. I might try it, maybe cars would be a good one too? So many good ones!

No worries Chad. The #1 factor is being interested in what you do.

Good luck my friend.
