WISHAW my home town in the early 1900's

Hi, how do I write my 1st blog?

I've never written one before, I never knew what a blog was.

So here goes.

I'm Chabob19a Charlie Mulholland from Wishaw in Bonnie Scotland when I first signed up to WA I had no clue as to what it was all about. I guess nobody does. So at the age of 74yrs old I said to myself, why am my signing up for all this, as I never experienced anything like this before, all this tech stuff and beyond. I sold the super information highway with United Artists way back yonder when they bombarded Scotland with cable tv CATV as it was called but this is a new ball game.

I Signed up to promote/build a website for my Artwork.I paint portraits for clients when I recieve a commision advertising on my facebook page.I also paint Landscapes pets all from various photograghs that I work from. I only work from photogragh not really creative. I've been painting art for a number of years now but had lapsed for sometime.

I lived in Palm Springs for 10 years 2004 - 2014 working as a Handyman, I am a fully qualified and certificated Painter & Decorator in Scotland but soon found out that it was better to be a handyman to obtain more projects and I quickly learned the ropes which turned out be very lucrative. I was married by this time my new wife was a realtor she bought/sold the houses. I did presale & post-sale repairs & the decor. We bought a ranch out in Sky valley real desert country. 3 horses 3 dogs a Billy Goat & a cat name Joy. It was all great fun mucking out the byre feeding & riding the horses and walking the dogs the goat came to, walking the 10 acres we had till the 2007 recession kicked in and we all know what happen then. Diversification came into play, time for a career change.

Truck driving was my next choice so I took all the tests passed them all and hit the highways & byways across the USA as an asphalt cowboy as you were known. That did not pay me enough so after about 6 months I decided it the time for a change once more. Along came my Taxi driving career and after my 2nd choice company I was back earning reasonable money again, wearing my kilt as a taxi driver certainly paid dividends, it was fun. By 2011 I have divorced my wife who turned out to be bipolar & a bully (no black eyes) that didn't work for me so I walk away from it all. Got a new home and carried on taxi driving which was ok. Doing some art but not a lot.

Back in Scotland then I have 2 sons & a daughter Roslyn who is my wildest son, (the boss). They came to visit the Ranch a few times and loved it. They lost their mother in 1996 when Roz was 17, Mark was 23, and Martin was 20, Mark gave me two Grandkids Morgan & Eamonn. It's now 2014 Roz calls me and said 'Dad your having too much fun out there your missing your grandkids growing up and we miss you too'. So it was time to head back to bonnie Scotland and to my painting & decorating job. I joined an ART class for about 3 years and was producing some great works I was hanging 4 paintings in a Glasgow art gallery on a rotation system for the sake of sales. This worked out quite well till COVID hit the world. The gallery closed along with the rest of the world. Once it reopened I lost faith in it and did not go back.As it was a slow environment and few sales in demand.

This blog could be running too long and may be in the wrong direction but I just wanted to say what I am about. I suppose it can be deleted nothing is carved in stone, as long as it's not too boring.

As you can see I've worn many different working hats in my life and gained a wealth of experience where ever I've been, good bad or indifferent. I mostly had fun throughout it all. Patience is my virtue got loads of it, and I'm never bored. I also never give up my search to better my environment.

As I said, I signed up with W.A. to build a website for my ART to improve my sales and business in the ART world, then when I went premium and saw there were 10 websites available with this. I then decided on money-making as a niche. I knew there were thousands of websites before me, but reckoned there would be loads of research available, so went for that and I was not wrong. It does look like a long haul, but that does not frighten me. I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far, hard as it might be for me but what's new? I just hope I have completed the first two Sections properly. Know doubt I will hear if I have not.

What I have found difficult is everything, but I have managed quite a bit of research and gained lots of interesting knowledge from it all. If it was not for all the training I would like to try some of the ideas I have recommended. I have had some replies from some interested parties that left comments thanking me for advice from my site already, so am I doing something correctly at last.?

Making goals is something I find hard to do it's not something I am good at, I do not procrastinate, I tend to work on a daily bases and work out things as I go along. I do not know if this is the right way to tackle things in W.A's environment, but it's the way I work on things rightly or wrongly.

I have had a few businesses in my lifetime. I have always looked after my family throughout my lifetime. In the seventies, I was a company director one of four in a company which grew pretty well covering most of Scotland parts of England, Paris France & Gibraltar off Spain in an all trades build repairs company carrying out various local government authorities, ministry of defence contracts, carry some 250 tradesmen.

I handled the Cash Flow of all the luxury clients in the lucrative private home decorating in Edinburgh, which gave me great satisfaction, the Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre being a particular showpiece, but greed got the better of one director which sadly forced a stop of this great company. I reluctantly left with a good payoff and started a new company near my home town. They have all since passed R.I.P. and so has the business. I think life is what you make it and you have to look after number one, look after me, not in a greedy way, you have to be kind and don't be a Mug.

I have a feeling this is too much in my 1st blog but it is what I have for you. There is lots more but will finish up here as I have reached aover 1200 words. I just wanted to share with you what I am about, keen to carry on and hope I am doing the right thing.

Would love to get feedback on all that I have done so far and will not be too offended if it's wrong, but hopefully, some of it is what you are looking for. I have rubbed shoulders with some great people in my lifetime and luckily still do,

So thank you for reading this so far cheers.

Chabob19a.
