I'm enjoying this 3 weeks in

Just finished up week 3, and I'm enjoying myself a lot. It's been good to write more. I did freelance writing for years, writing about what those paying me wanted. Follow that with grad school research papers and 4 years of case notes and paperwork at a mental health agency, and writing had become a chore. Now I'm writing about topics I am choosing, and I'm falling in love with writing again.
I've been on vacation for the past week, and have next week off, too. Then I go back to my job for my final week before moving on to new and different paperwork! lol But I'll still have this, and I think having it bridge this transition will make it easier for me in ways.
I'm also enjoying the fiddly little learning bits, the html refresher, and the data and analytics. I geek out over the data, and it's so silly, because I can't be averaging much traffic only 2.5 weeks in. I figure that by the time I have real traffic, I'll know how to read and interpret all the stats like a pro! Practice is a good thing. (And at least I'm not getting sucked into the Twitterverse.)

I first started my site on 2/28, but had only page titles that day. 3/1 was the first content and analytics, so that will my first site's birthday. I want to name it something besides its site name. Like Martha. Or Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. Someday I'll be able to say something like, "Kelsier Lightsong turned one year old today!" Feel free to offer suggestions in the comments. ;) (Or if you recognized the references.)
I'll plan to do updates at the end of every month for awhile. It'll keep me accountable and maybe someone (besides me) will enjoy reading them someday. It's good either way.
Peace out. -C
