I am a senior citizens living in Florida. I enjoy being with my family and friends. I enjoy shopping. I like to travel but don’t like to be away from home for long periods of time. I have three adult married children, I have 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. My profession was a hairdresser. I joined WA to generate an income and to keep myself busy.
When I first wrote my bio I wasn’t sure what I should say about me so I left out a lot. My two sons live in NY State and between them they have 8 of my grandchildren. They are all growing up very rapidly. My daughter lives here in Florida, she is my neighbor, my best friend and my “caregiver”. I lost my husband of 56,almost 57 years in 2016. He had been sick for several years but it was still a shock when he passed. Until January of 2018, I worked two days a week as a hairdresser in an assisted living facility. I loved it but I got sick and the doctors said I shouldn’t work anymore. I reluctantly said okay. My daughter has two children, both married and each has a child. Her daughter lives in Georgia so I don’t see her and my great grand son nearly as often as I would like. Emma, my great granddaughter lives in the area so I see her often. I am 78 years old but don’t really feel it. I am glad I decided to join WA because it does keep me very busy. I enjoy learning but it takes me longer than most because I am computer illiterate. But I am determined to take advantage of everything I can.
