Hi Cella, I agree affiliate marketing takes time and effort, to create a passive income stream. If your passion is in video editing and real estate then that is where your focus should be. What you have learned here can't be taking away from you, and WA is something you can always come back too.

You dont have to add another user. But you can change the default 'Admin' name to your own - to make the posts seem more personal.

You'll find a few sections that you dont really have to do, but in the long run, it's useful to know about how Wordpress works and all the different features.

The best way to learn is by playing around and seeing what happens when you click a few buttons :-)

Hi Celia, I believe the reason for adding a new user with your name or close to it is for comment response purposes. That way if a reader leaves a comment and you want to reply to them, they'll see the reply is from a person's name instead of the word admin. That's why they say it humanizes the site.

I would also add that you can use pages for static information, like let's you have a top product, then you would present it as a page. And then posts are for day to day indormation. For example, a sale that is going on this week, or a recipe you want your readers to tey before you can present them with another one a week later.
You can keep all your posts very organized by categorizing them as well :)

Both pages AND posts get indexed by Google, so no worries there. Posts show up in Google search results just like pages, with the title and meta description included for each one.
