Week 8 Dec. 3-9 Cattravel101 Site Update
Hello everyone and welcome to my week 8 update of my site cattravel101.com.
Dec. 31 Deadline
As mentioned in my previous blog I plan to double the number of articles from 30 to 60. The deadline for 60 articles in the end of the year lol.
Once at 60 i plan to scale back operations to make room for a new site I plan to start building on Jan. 1.
Instead of 30 articles in 30 days it will be scaled back to 10 articles in 30 days.
100,000 Words Will be Broken By End Of Week 9!
Currently according to Site Content I have 38 posts with 94,140 words!
2nd Pillar Article Created In Just 8 Hours!
This week I completed my 2nd 6k 'pillar article' and that was done in under 8 hours. Compared to my first which took 2 days to write.
13 Articles In 15 days!
In the last 15 days 13 articles (2k + each) have been created which is a break neck pace for some people reading this.
But it's not that hard when you plan our your articles weeks in advance.
For example if my 2nd Pillar article is titled 'What Is The Best Airline pet Policy [After 10 Reviews!].
Before I could write that I had to create all 10 reviews (4 done in Oct). So I created 6 (1 each day) policy-based articles.
Those 6 added to the other 4 made 10 reviews for me to compare into 1 mega article.
7 days, 7 articles , planned down to last detail, just needed to add content.
After 60 Articles Then Social Media Time
After my 60th article is complete I will begin a '1 a day' Social Media 'content' drip on Pinterest & Twitter (Facebook is a waste of time, especially after the Dec 2017 Update that's coming).
After 60 days there will be at least 20 pieces of content for another 20 day run.
That way I can focus on creating 60 articles in 60 days for my next site I have in mind.
Why Not Keep Writing Here, Why Another Site?
It's simple: Google takes TIME to rank material. Time that can be spent creating future ranking content.
By the time Google gets around to 'fully' ranking my cattravel101.com content I will have created additional content on another site for them to rank.
Besides I still plan to add to it, just not 30 articles a month, 10-15 will be enough to continue succeeding.
Why Not Use Social Media Now?
Supply & Demand. If I use SM now, what if my site and content take off, what happens then.. no new content...people go elsewhere.
If I have 60 pieces I can scale that up to 30 days, or keep it at 60 days. But I will have content to 'feed' my followers. Which is required to succeed online in Social media as well.
Plus creating content is far more profitable long term then focusing on social media in the beginning. You could get trapped in the 'twitterverse' or 'pinterverse' and forget to create content!
Week 9 Goals
Have 46 pieces of content by Dec. 16.

I encourage you to visit my site and get an idea of what a 'answer' site looks like. People have told me here and elsewhere that it doesn't feel like a 'sales site'.
It feels like an 'answer site'.

also a great site, read a few posts and found them also interesting but could not find any comment space, FYI you are losing a lot of free content by not having a comment area - just my 2 cents.
Yeah every article on that site has a comment area at the end of the article.
You would know that if you read through the entire article(s) as you say you did.

It's okay, this theme kinda 'hides' the comments sometimes. Feel free to comment on that site if you like. Or comment here, Feel free to tell me what you personally think of the site.
I am always open to suggestions. Thanks for bringing up the comment thing. If more people bring it up I'll add material in my articles to reflect this problem.
I went back and left a short comment, but it seemed that i was scrolling for ever, what if the articles where shortened into 2 different posts on your side bar. again just my 2 cents. bill
