Upon my return

Hi WA family

It's been such a long time since I last blogged. To tell you the truth I have been absent from WA for a couple of months. Early December last year I was scammed so I had to cancel my visa card. Since it was the festive seasons and being caught up with work, I delayed replacing my card. With a then blocked card, I was unable to continue payment of my membership fee and thus the drop out. To cut a long story short, I got my new card late March. On the 1st of April, I enrolled once again.

Alas! Upon my return, things were not as I left them months before especially website-wise.

  • Although I had already re-directed my website to my domain as directed in OEC training level 2, my domain remained empty with this written on it "No Wordpress website installed."
  • I submitted a ticket and was told by Sitesupport to move my website by clicking on move in Sitemanager.
  • Though it was then said that my website had been successfully moved to my domain, I still could not see it there (and guys now I know that this was abnormal).
  • Eventually, Sitesupport had to manually moved it themselves.

A major concern of mine was that most of my published and indexed contents were not apparent on my website. However, they were still there in Sitecontent.

  • I asked questions and got answers.
  • I worked on it and it did wonders.
  • The trick was to copy and paste from Sitecontent to Wordpress dashboard, and then publish. ( Now, I don't really know if this is a one time deal only)

On the bright side

  • With the help of Sitesupport and some awesome members here at WA, my site is indeed regaining life.
  • I finally got the guts to update my profile as certain things have changed ever since I joined WA in March last year.
  • I am completing Level 3 of OEC training.
  • I am planning on setting up another website. This will allow me to refresh on what I have learned so far and better grasp it.

Overall

  • I missed being part of WA.
  • For the past two weeks I have been catching up on what I have missed out ; following members, getting re-accustomed to reading and commenting on blogs, etc.
  • I am still a bit slow with things and I admit it, "I need help ".

My Advice

Never be afraid to ask questions or shout out for help. Someone out there will eventually come to your aid.

I am more than happy to be back again in this amazing family and I am now more determined than ever to stick around !

Blessed be those whom are always willing to lend a helping hand. It warms the recipient's heart and ease their troubled mind. In this case scenario, my very own.

Thank you all for your support.

Everyone needs help, that's why this community is so active because once helped we can, in turn, help others who are where we were. This, in turn, builds our confidence to help our readers and those in our social networks even more. The long term effect is we build our trust and personal brand strong because of the willingness to be real, be kind, and help others.

So true Andy. Helping others goes a long way.
