Ranking in a competitive niche
Hi guys,
I have been really struggling to rank on the first page of Google. This might be because I am in a very competitive niche or the fact that my site is only about three months old...
I quickly went to check some of my keywords and to my surprise, realized I am on the first page with one of my posts!! I am really happy to see some results, as I am a bit negative at the moment regarding my success. The post that is ranked is not one where I used affiliate links, but hopefully I will start getting some organic traffic with that post.
Anyway, I just wanted to show you it is possible to rank in a competitive niche. Hopefully as my site starts to gain trust, I will start to rank on the first page a bit more.

Congrats on your getting to the first page of google especially in a competitive niche, it is not easy. I am also in the same boat, I am ranking for certain keywords, but it has taken time for me with my website being 4 to 5 months old. Congrats again and thank you for sharing.

We, as newbies struggle to understand that it takes time for a site to gain trust before you will actually have good rankings. I am also a bit discouraged especually when I see people making sales that have been here shorter than me. Never give up. Just keep on pushing forward!
Will do! My niche is competitive even though I drilled down a few layers. There's an industry giant or two who've been around for decades. When I start my next website, I'll take that into consideration. But for now, I'm going to FOCUS on turning this website into what I know it can be, even if it takes a year or longer
Yes definitely. I also didn't think of that before the time, but I mean, what did we know before we started here. I would really like to make a success out of my current blog because it is about gadgets and I like writing about it, so I will just keep on writing until I make it.

It does get easier, I'm also in a highly competitive niche and up against big giants, but they are also sloppy and are churning out material that I can improve upon so over time I gain authority.
If you really like the topic I would advise stay with it and produce good quality content because Google will recognise that, regardless of who you are up against.
Thank you. It is good to know that it gets easier. My biggest struggle is to get ranked. If I can just get better rankings I will definitely make sales.
