As we all continue to sail through this corona quarantine. I think to myself, "Self. There are worse places I have been." I was referring to the time when I died for 10 minutes. I had what they call "septic shock." It happens when you get a bad infection in your body and it enters your blood stream and when it does that, it wreaks all sorts of havoc in your body by spreading its poison. It starts to shut down your organs one by one. Kidneys, heart and last of all the brain. And when your brain doesn't get oxygen for 10 minutes you're basically a goner.

This is my story of how I survived my brush with death. As I laid there on the ER room, not breathing, I found myself sitting in an all white subway train. Everything was white. The seats were white, the floor was white, the ceilings and the walls were all white. Looking out the windows all I could see was white. And in the train seated around me were people. It wasn't crowded but there were people in every row. In the seat to the left there was a youngish black man wearing khaki pants and a white shirt sitting next to an older gentleman. I was sitting in my own row. In the front right of me was a row of seats with the back against the wall. In the second seat away from me sat a trim older woman with gray/black hair done in a sporty bob cut. She was wearing a white tennis sweater with a blue and red collar trim over a white button up shirt with some white slacks and white deck shoes.

I could see that the train was heading towards a bright white light. It wasn't a harsh bright light, but a very warm inviting white light. I felt very comfortable heading towards this white light. I was ready to go. Then the lady who sat in front of me looked at me and leaned in to me and said, "It's not your time."

The next thing I know is that I was in a hospital bed with a bunch of wires and lines all over me and then I see both my mom and dad smiling at me in relief.

I know these experiences do happen to a lot of people. My Mom experienced something very similar when she got very sick. She shared this with us when we were kids long before I heard or read about such experiences from others.

Near death experiences are actually our souls or spirit going certain places in the spirit world and coming back when it is not our time to be living in the spirit world.

Great story! Thanks for sharing. Wondering if you received a message while in that state as to what your goal might be in this life.

Thanks for sharing your near-death experience. I'm glad you survived.

Very scary but very comforting at the same time great post thanks for sharing

That's amazing afterlife experience. Thanks for sharing Jen

Wow, Courtney--that post was very comforting, indeed. I suffered a bad infection that caused part of my right foot to be amputated in 2015. They said if I had gotten to the hospital any later than I did, all they could have done was make me comfortable--indeed, I dodged the "death" bullet that day, my friend! My 3.5 week hospital stay sure gave me a new lease on life.

What was important to me before became much less so, afterwards! Thanks for sharing!

Stay safe!

Jeff
