Practicing Self-control!
This is something I have a hard time with. When I started my first 2 sites I was obsessed with Analytics. I was checking it every day, sometimes twice a day. Now that's just plain silly, isn't it?
I started my third site 3 months ago and promised myself that I was not going to get obsessed with Analytics again like I was with the first two. This site is about my true passion, which is pet grooming. I promised myself that I would check my sites stats every other week and not every day. Two weeks ago I looked at my sites stats and it had received 243 hits in the last 30 days. I thought OK this isn't too bad being it's a brand new site. I spent the next two weeks concentrating on adding posts instead of wasting time with Analytics. Well, today was my day to check on the stats and what a pleasant surprise I got. My site had received 2889 hits in the last 30 days. Wow, I'm going to have to set off some fireworks for that one lol!
This goes to prove that I need to concentrate more on my writing. So I am going to do the same thing with Amazon. I was checking that every day too, to see if I made a sale. Well, not anymore. The only way for me to get more hits and start making sales is to keep adding more helpful content. Another lesson learned and it just took some self-control.
P.S. Happy 4th of July to all who celebrate!
Have a wonderful day,

I agree. Just check your Analytics periodically, don't get obsessed. Better to be obsessed with writing great content.
When you DO finally check, hopefully you will get a bigger and more pleasant surprise!
I liked your idea, but I don't think I can wait two weeks between checks. I will now formally make it my aim to check my site stats 24 hours after publishing my latest blog post! Don't you just love being able to make new headway by reading other people's posts? I know I do, and Thanks for the new aim!
