Stop Riding A Dead Horse!

The Dakota Indians once said:

” If you discover you are riding a dead horse, get off “.

You might have heard of this expression but if not, what does it mean?

There are many tasks in life where you need to find out, if they are worth it or not.

You might even already know what you are doing is not going to have a good outcome. You have to ask yourself these following questions:

- Is what I am doing going to have a good outcome?

- Am I heading in the right direction or should I take another?

- Have I got the right backup or do I need to search for new?

We all have situations in life, whether at work or at home, where we are not sure whether it will work out or have a good outcome.

- Is the relationship with my girlfriend going to work out?

- Am I in the right job?

If you know an old strategy at work is not going to work for new situations, then tell your team / boss about some other strategies you know will work. Try to communicate.

Worst case scenario

If you go to work every day feeling bad and know the company and coworkers don't appreciate the hard work you put in. You also can't communicate with anybody because they don't take you seriously. Then it is time for you to stop riding a dead horse and find a new job.

If your girlfriend / boyfriend always has an excuse for not seeing you and when your with her / him they just want something from you and never seem interested in you, then you are riding a dead horse.

So stop riding dead horses and start doing things where you know the outcome is going to be great.

Stop finding excuses for still riding sick and dead horses because you think it will change in the near future (which it won't) and start heading in another direction.

Start making a change and you will find things will start to work out for you. I don`t wont you to ever ride a dead horse, so think before you climb the saddle and start riding.
