My Website Was Indexed on Google Today!
Holy Smokes! I too got indexed by Google today. And I haven't even finished my first blogpost. What's up with that? Now I gotta bust my butt to get the blog up and running, get optimized and get some products on the shopping page.
I know others have experienced this recently. Is it a common occurance to get indexed this quickly? Or is it an abberation? I was caught offguard for sure.

Sometimes it does happen fast and sometimes it doesn't. I have four websites indexed by Google and each one was different timing. Congrats on your first index! :D

Roseberry, as a follow up my other domain was also indexed by Google this evening. I just transferred it over from GoDaddy last night and don't even have a website devoted to it yet. So you are correct about the timing.
Funny thing, all the time I had these domains parked on GoDaddy they were never indexed. And my one active website/domain I am leaving on GoDaddy has never been indexed or ranked. WA must do something differently.
I don't like GoDaddy at all. They may sell domains cheaper but everything else you might want or need you have to pay for it. While in WA, you only pay for the domain for 1 year (or more if you want) and everything else needed comes free with the purchased domain.
I think this is the reason why the websites here index faster then other web hosting companies. Where else would I have ever imagined having 4 websites indexed, it's pretty awesome :)
I too do not like GoDaddy. That is why I moved my other domains here. I have an active website on a domain that GoDaddy hosts. They recently changed their Website Builder software to something new and now I cannot even edit my website without buying a subscription to the new software. I'll be taking that website down soon, move it to WA and rebuild it here.
