A Vendor is Asking Me to Review His Product. Great! Now What?
Hi everyone!
I received a vendor email asking me if I could review some of their products. They say they would send me some samples in different colors and that they would love me to write an "unbiased review" on it.
I'm thinking: great!... I just wonder if such proposal should be written and agreed upon before reviewing their products. I don't want this review to be a fake one and they must know it.
Should there be a contract signed by both parties or a I just send a simple email stating what I will do and will not do. I just don't how much is enough.
It's the first time I'm asked to review a product by the vendor itself.
For those of you who receive such request regularly, please let me know any suggestions or ideas you may have.

I would definitely write them a review. After I've seen and experienced the products. Product reviews must always be honest. Remember you can sell anyone's products but repeat customers are hard to come by. Jim
great news Caroline that normally only happens when someone sees the benefit of your review. You don't need a contract to shoot them an email to say you will write an honest review
You may want to agree on things like page views or social media promotion if they have goals for you on that. Make sure you put a disclaimer on the page, as you will have a direct link to the merchant and must disclose it. Not just a link to the disclosure on another page either.
