I've Run Out Of Ideas
I don't have a clue what to write about.....
It's so frustrating when you lose the ability to create new posts or you just slow down so much you can't back to the creative zone you were in.
So what is this all about? What's stopping me from just getting on with it?
That nagging voice inside your head saying ,"It's rubbish, I need to start again". We strive so hard to be perfect or have the perfect post. We constantly compare ourselves to others or fear gets in the way of us just getting it done.
What can I do to overcome this barrier?
- Take regular breaks
- Get your body moving and get some fresh air
- Make sure you are well hydrated
- Do something different for a while
A great blog post on How to Overcome Writer's Block is by the author Jeff Goins.- goinswriter.com
Hope this might be of some help to someone

No problem. Yes I've a few of his ebooks to print, they are long but worth it. Thanks for commenting
It's just a temporary hitch, Caroline, you will sit quiet thinking of something and then eureka, the lightening idea will strike and the inspiration will be reinstated, problem solved and all that worry was for nothing.
Cheers and chin up, Tosh :)
Focus on anything like "sky". Tag It with words like weird or give I colors or other attributes and look it up in Google! Endless results and ideas!
Over thinking is an obstacle to writing anything. If you a have an idea it needs to be written. Get it out of your head, it can always be refined later.
I would start with what you do on a daily basis such as a day by day strategy you can write about things such as for example woke up this morning had breakfast fed my dog got the kids ready for school reading my books you know things in that nature don't beat yourself up thinking about writing something just write and let the words flow and by that time you have a full post. Then if you don't like some things that you said it will be easy to just go back and rewrite some sentences in your post and this way it will keep you from facing writers block, this is the strategy that I use hope this helps .
Don't put too much pressure on yourself, Caroline. Remind yourself of the reasons for wanted to get out of the 9-5 grind: so that you can enjoy life and still have an income.
If you put too much pressure on yourself, then your online business becomes just as much of a chore as your 9-5.
As VeronicasLuv would say, "eat some cake"! LOL.
We all get into this space, Caroline, and you're right, time for a break. Or sometimes just write down what you saw today and then see where it leads...
