We have seen many articles discussing Affiliate Sales Strategies. One Option is top promote large number of low ticket items. The other option is to promote high ticket items. Which strategy should we choose?

Beware of Scams

Kyle wrote a great article pointing out that some of the high ticket items promoted in the Make Money Online Niche are of dubious value and are promoted mostly to recruit new members to their sales group. Buy an expensive training and as our new associate you will be entitled to sell the same high priced training to others and earn a high commission. That is the pitch. More than affiliate sales these offers are a Multi Level Marketing scheme. That is why when looking at potential High Ticket Items to promote I only look at physical products that have real value.

Promoting High Price Physical Products

This is an ethical and viable method of Affiliate Sales. You can find Affiliate Programs offering high ticket items in the Wealthy Affiliate Platform. But I ask myself why would somebody buy this item from me? do I offer the potential buyer that makes my offer desirable. As with any other product that we promote we must have a suitable website and must be, or become, an authority in that niche.

It is my opinion that to succeed in this high ticket niche you really must be an expert with solid credentials. For example if you want to promote sales of paintings as an investment you should be an art dealer with a proven record and maybe run an art gallery. You do not become an authority overnight. These high ticket items would be priced in the $10,000 range.

We should all know our limitations and choose niches that are realistic for us. Claiming to be an authority when you are not one, is not honest. In my case I selected a few medium priced items to promote,in the $1,000 price range. Items such as Massage Chairs and Whole House Ventilation systems. These products offer real value and I am comfortable promoting them. However, most of the products I offer are low price. I will explain why.

Promoting Low Price Physical Products

I believe that promoting low price products I can also achieve my financial goals. But the method is different. I am promoting many low price items mostly through Amazon Associates. I have found that with this approach I get a positive feedback by getting a few orders regularly rather than just waiting for the big one, which may not come. The positive feedback encourages me to write more posts improving the probability of an order.

After several months of no results with Amazon Associates, the last 3 months I have seen an increase in clicks and a few orders. I see many posts here at WA of members reporting hundreds of clicks daily. I am not even close to that level, but I believe I can reach that volume.

I am very happy to report that now I average 3 clicks daily from Amazon Associates and close to 15% conversion to Sales. Obviously I am not satisfied with these results. But I see that I can replicate this method and the sales should grow exponentially. Success takes time, but I am on the right path. What I have learned is that I have to write more quality posts regularly revolving around a central theme and add internal links connecting many of my posts.

My Conclusion

Going back to my fishing analogy what I am doing is increasing the number of my fishing lines, each one with a few small hooks. However, occasionally I also add a big hook with a big bait, to one of my lines, hoping that a wicked tuna will bite. ( I also buy lottery tickets occasionally. Probability of winning is small, but it is fun).There is no limit to the number of fishing lines I can deploy. Note that on the image at the beginning of this article multiple fishing lines are shown.
