If a technophobe can do this, anyone can

I've been with WA for about 6 weeks now. At first, I was riddled with doubt about the quality of this community and its information. Partly because I have very little understanding of how things work in the internet world and my ability to perform, and partly because in my quest for finding a way to make a living from home I have run into some very iffy schemes.

But at this point I must say that I have just finished my training, (at least the formal part) and I have a website I actually like, a place to get questions answered, and a community where I don't feel out of place contributing.

It's a win-win!

I face some real challenges still. I have never been a fan of social media and have had to learn about it all while deciding which platforms to participate in, so the learning curve is even higher for me than it may be for others.

I also have another website that after I gave in to peer pressure and struggled to get it up, I largely abandoned it because I had no idea what to do next.

At first, I was intimidated by having to create content for my site, but at this point I have more ideas than time to write. That is a wonderful gift! I always wondered what else to do with my masters in screenwriting, after figuring out that the film world was more than I could deal with.

My fledgling website has a little traffic, which tells me that I am doing something right. I had more visitors yesterday than I have had in the entire time my site has been live, so hurrah for me.

I would like to thank this community for the quality information that everyone is so willing to share with those of us less skilled and knowledgeable. It has enabled me to start dreaming of living a life unencumbered with worries about how to make ends meet.
