Witnessing The Reason Why Part II

Good morning Success Engineers,

On November 16, 2018, I wrote a blog post titled "Witnessing The Reason Why". Since that time I have met many folks here at WA and learned more here than I ever learned in college. Today, before I really get rolling on the SAC Month II tasks, I wanted to follow up with another quick post titled "Witnessing The Reason Part II".

Anyone that has read my profile knows how I feel about working for someone else. ( "My goal is to start an online business and to be my own boss. I want to be in control of a business not be controlled by someone else's business.") My wife needs to work three more years in her job to get all the retirement benefits which include health insurance for both of us after retirement.

I retired 13 years ago but still work 40 hours a week making money for someone else. It is my goal to have a sustainable, business by the time she retires. As I read Kyle's instructions and training for month 2 of the SAC I thought, I need some motivation, some sign, some push that will keep me organized and help me manage my time better in month 2.

And then it happened. A drive to work that normally takes just under 30 minutes lasted an hour and a half this morning due to an accident on the interstate. I actually felt like Michael Douglas in the movie Falling Down. I was ready to park my car in traffic, get out, and start walking to work or better still back home.

So, there you have it, my motivation for month two of the SAC.

Have a productive day everyone!

Cal

Hi Cal.

Single-minded, dogged determination is about the only thing I believe can see me through this. And the harder I try, the better I feel, strangely enough.

Until my WA experience here, I didn't even realise that dossing around isn't **satisfying**. I'd always thought that lazing about was the height of luxury. Turns out, doing something useful is **far more** satisfying in the end. Surprise!

Regards,

Hi Tayo, you know, you are exactly right...this is addictive in a good kind of way!

So true!

Hi Cal,
I definitely agree with you there! I've never enjoyed having to drive to work...and enjoy it less and less as I get older, especially with the winters we have here, you never know how it'll be when waking up in the morning...driving through whiteouts of blowing snow and wind is never my idea of a good way to start the day! So glad I don't have to go almost every day like I used to, now it's only a couple days or so a week.

Another 9-5 motivation for me is having to be to work at a time someone else dictates which has never been my cup of tea either...and well, I better stop there before I write a whole post here, lol!

Anyways, I sure don't blame you for wanting to park your car in traffic and start walking...I'd probably rather be walking home too, lol! Keep on working at it and you'll be done with the 9-5 rat race and be working from home instead!

Best wishes :) ~Sherry

Hi Sherry, that's the plan...3 years and I want this business rolling along well. I'm definitely going to try!

Good afternoon my brother, I walked side-by-side by side with you on all of that you are saying. Nine to five does not ever pay off, we must be the masters of our own destiny, by the way much success to you my SAC comrade.

Hi Earl, it is truly a lonely path. I'm hoping that one day we can avoid the 9 - 5 madness and be our own bosses.

Yes indeed my friend, with all my heart I wish you all the best prosperity, also being the master of your destiny.

It just takes one thing to give you a major push in the right direction. I much prefer working for myself from home. I can visit family and the kids, help with childcare etc and take my work too. It's freedom! Keep pushing!

I like working from home too, far fewer interruptions than being in an office environment.

My job motivates me to continue with my online business. I have hated working for others and the only way out is getting a profitable online business started and running. I have tried to get out of the rat race for years. Now luckily I have found WA and I have a fighting chance.

My goal is to be full time at affiliate marketing in 2 years. Without Wealthy Affiliate, it would have never been possible but now I can actually see myself working from home fulltime. Another thing that motivates me to keep at it is social security. By the time I qualify for retirement, it's going to be bare bones if even available and I won't be able to retire unless I get this online business profitable.

Thanks for posting. You got my motivation to succeed all fired up again!

Cheers,

Cory

Great Cory, yeah that Social Security situation is scary for sure. I think we might be getting in late on that one.
