My First 30 days here at Wealthy Affiliate -impressions, experiences & what I've learned

When I first joined WA as a free starter member I didn't really know what to expect. I had joined through an affiliate link from someone's post I had stumbled across while searching the Internet for ways to make money online. The blog post I joined through made a really good impression on me. It was a very convincing post that focused on how great the training, support & community here at WA is. I decided it's free why not give it a try. I soon found out that everything in that post I read was completely true. As soon as I joined I got some warm welcomes from members through messages & existing members started following me. It was a good sign to me but I still wasn't completely sure about WA yet. I was still a bit skeptical.

I started the actual training right away. Even though I was skeptical, I was still very excited to see what WA was all about. What I learned in the first lesson made me realize that this was not going to be easy or a quick make money over night thing but it also taught me a lot & made me want to learn more. I couldn't believe how fast it was to build the actual site. I thought that would take me forever to learn how & actually build my site. It turns out that's the east part. Easy or not it was a great accomplishment, one I was proud of & it motivated me to keep going. Before I even finished the first course I knew I wanted to go premium. For one I wanted my own domain name. One that I owned, there's something really cool about that. I now own 2 .com domain names.

I had to take a little break because I got married. I didn't touch the training or my websites for over a week. It was a great wedding & I'm now happily married. My wife & I have been together for almost 5 years. She has been very supportive through all this. She knows I'm doing this for our future. We haven't spent too much time together since the wedding break (honeymoon) because I have a full time job where I work about 50 hours a week & I have been spending a ton of tIme on my website. Like I said though she is very supportive & she gets excited when I show all the coll stuff I'm doing on my website.

Fast forward a bit & I just started the course 5 training. I now have 2 websites that I own the .COM domain names for. I really haven't touched the second one other than building it out & putting the privacy policy & about me page up but I will get to it soon. I am going to have to slow down with content on my first site soon, so I wanted my second one ready to go. Like I said, I am focusing on my first site for now because content is the key. I learned that pretty quick. Content was a very scary thing to me. I thought I had no idea how to write it. I listened to Kyle's training & just went for it. Not trying to be a pro but just writing it as if I was speaking to a friend. Maybe a little more professional though. Suprisly I started getting more & more comfortable writing content. It just started flowing & every time I wrote a new post I got better at it. I'm no longer afraid of writing content & at this point I'm started to enjoy it.

I'm extremely proud of the amount I have learned & accomplished in under 30 days. I knew absolutely nothing about building a website or affiliate marketing. I have a website that looks profesional with well written content and it even has amazon affiliate links attached to it so I can make money. Where else could you not only learn everything I have learned but also accomplish all I have in under 30 dayS?

So not only the do you get this fantastic training but you also have the WA community. This certainly isn't a reddit crowd here. Everyone is so friendly & helpful. When I first joined I thought it was fake. People aren't this helpful. After interacting with members I then I realized that they are this nice here, its real they're not robots. These are just profesional people here all working hard to get their business in the best shape it can be. At WA it benefits everyone to be that helpful. You help someone & they help you. It is a real live community here not just a training site with some people who might or might not be there for you.

Considering everything you get here & the amazing community I'm surprised there aren't millions of members. I am so very happy to be here to get this training & to be a part of the WA community. I certainly still have a lot to learn. This is a very exciting time for me & I can't wait to see where the rest of my training takes me. I'll be sure to to keep you updated on how things are going.

I'm going to end this blog with a message to new members. At times the traiming & building your site can be overwhelming. There were a couple times I almost gave up. Don't give up. If you need to, take a break from it or slow down but don't give up. You will be very proud of what you are able to accomplish & you will at the very least learn a ton here. The effort will pay off.
