My nerves are jumping: asking for support is making me sweat

It's done. I just emailed to everybody in my contact list: family, friends and acquaintances. Asking them to support me and helping me to improve my website and my rankings. It's made me all jumpy and nervous. And I'm laughing at myself for being such a strange woman.

There's nothing more logical to me than to help others when they call on me. Off course, I'll do what I can, don't worry about it, consider it done. Everybody needs something or somebody at some point in their lives. No judgment here. It's the most normal thing.

Freeze

But that's when others need help. Things are so different when the tables are turned. What is it about asking for help that always makes me freeze? Why is it so much easier for me to interact with strangers all over the world than to lean on people close to me? How am I ever going to build a solid business if I can't ask for help?

The WA community has been helping me a lot. Not just by answering my questions. But also -without you even knowing- by making me ask questions. Building a website, affiliate marketing and starting a business is so very new and challenging that I cannot not ask for help. And so I'm learning. I'm learning to use the resources, support and help others have to offer. I'm learning to actually ask for it.

What do you do?

Of course my friends and family are responding kindly and supportive. My email's been sent less than 2 hours ago and already they come through. I'm glad I found the courage to ask. I'm exhausted though, haha. And it will probably take me more time to get used to asking. But I know I need to get used to it.

I'm sure there must be more people like me in WA. How do you handle it? What do you do to make yourself ask for help, even if you find it hard to do?
