From the moment I decided to write a blog, I am learning, learning and learning some more. A world has opened up for me. And I know that I only peeled the first layer of the onion.
One of the novelties is 'the newsletter'. Another is 'the Instagram photo'. For both I wanted to take pictures of real life. What I do need to have is a neutral background to make everyday items look presentable. And I don’t have a neutral background: the floors are busy wood patterns, the walls should have been painted again years ago. The rescue? A white sheet of paper, size A3. On the ground, placed up against the cupboard in a curve. And there you have it, an improvised, minimalist photo studio for small objects.

It worked better than I would have hoped. I’m not a photographer and I won’t pretend that I take beautiful pictures. But I only need simple product photos of my own stuff. And then this works fine for me.
